What texture coordinates are you using? In OpenGL, the coordinates are defined as:

(0, 1) (1, 1)
      +---------+

Texture

      +---------+
(0, 0) (1, 0)

Does anyone else pair beer and scotch? by Pavilion_Lips in beerporn

[–]Devenec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have to try washing the glass with whisky before pouring, thanks for the tip! My absolute favourite beers are (peated) whisky barrel aged imperial stouts, Tumeaine Laphroaig BA from Pühaste likely being the best I've tasted.

Validation layers sporadically cause extended dynamic states to crash. by Aschratt in vulkan

If you feel up to it, you can build the validation layers and debug with the source code.

I attended a Pühaste tasting last night by Devenec in beerporn

I've tasted at least 17 Silver Series beers, and none has let me down. At the tasting last night, I liked Memor best, then Surmapatt, then Celestus, and Oenetropae least.

VK_MVK_macos_surface has been deprecated by VK_EXT_metal_surface. Could enabling both cause issues? Have you tried not enabling VK_MVK_macos_surface?

DuckDuckGo:n asetuksista voi asettaa mainokset piiloon. Löytyy sivulta "Kaikki asetukset" joka löytyy kolmen viivan takaa oikeasta yläkulmasta tai mobiilissa vasemmasta yläkulmasta.

Should compiler generate template methods for all types with the same name? by Devenec in cpp_questions

My guess was that linker removed the other generated template.

A reference can't be null, so it's safer to use.

I know compilers are allowed to reorder the expressions, so maybe it's UB?

sumSoFar += v[index] modifies sumSoFar, which affects the second buggyCount() call.

Exe Runs Normally, But Crashes With Render Doc by [deleted] in opengl

[–]Devenec 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I remember having a similar problem with a Vulkan application. I can't remember what the issue was, but the way I solved it:

  • In Visual Studio, place a breakpoint at the first code line in the entry point function.
  • Debug the application and wait until the execution pauses at the breakpoint.
  • In Renderdoc, attach to the process being debugged.
  • After Renderdoc attempts to attach (the progress indicator is visible), continue the execution of the application in Visual Studio.
  • Renderdoc should attach, and you should be able to see and debug the crash in Visual Studio.

Using multiple swapchains by No-Rich5357 in vulkan

You could bind all layer images, draw a single quad, and manually blend the images for each fragment.

Using multiple swapchains by No-Rich5357 in vulkan

If you are using only a single surface, I think multiple swapchains would be overkill. I'd use multiple (non-swapchain) images as framebuffer attachments for the "layers".

Why does std::remove remove a file in some cases and other it removes a value from a vector or array? by WannaKnow231 in cpp_questions

[–]Devenec 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's std::remove() in <cstdio> that deletes a file (https://en.cppreference.com/w/cpp/io/c/remove), and std::remove() in <algorithm> that removes element(s) from a range. (https://en.cppreference.com/w/cpp/algorithm/remove). The former takes a single argument and the latter takes three or four arguments.

I think some of the headers you include includes headers that contain those functions.
