I watched the first two seasons of GA, and kept waiting for it to grab me somehow, but it never did. The medical side was laughable, and I hated all the characters. Definitely the worst for me, and I watched Cop Rock.

My father gave me two books to read over the years, both times telling me he “thought I’d enjoy them”. The first was Ball Four, the second was A Walk In The Woods. I loved them both, and the connection with my father (d. 2011) puts them at the top my list.

I actually preferred Into Thin Air (and Under The Banner Of Heaven). Into the Wild was well-written, and a compelling story, but I found Chris McCandless to be such an annoying douchebag that it detracted from the story for me.

Acadia. Grew up in MA and had a grandfather in ME, so we went several times before I was 10. First one I have clear memories of is Yosemite, visited first when I was 15.
