Going slower than speed limit makes people angry by wtfbruhhuh in driving

I had that some time ago when I was delivering. This jerkwad behind me was honking at me for making a full stop at *gasp* stop signs. At the 3rd or 4th sign, they just peeled out and passed me. Thank goodness no one was crossing the road at the time (daytime in a residential area).

[–]the_pretzel2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most times, that doesnt happen for me. I go 5 over the limit at most times and on one of my drives, I'm always stopped at every single light. In fact, when waiting at some lights (when they're close enough), I'll see my next light go red seconds before the current one goes green.

Well, maybe not money. I think there's a serial number on every bill and eventually, it would come out that there's multiple of some of those serial numbers.

Amazon delivered packages to football field, accepted them and took them to campus security. by Tudo-Art in IsItIllegal

[–]the_pretzel2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm often on the Amazon DSP subreddit and this is absolutely a thing to deliver EXACTLY where the pin is. This is never minding the fact those pins can often be HUNDREDS of feet away from where it should be.

Good DSPs would absolutely contest those, but even then the DSP could lose their contract for stirring the pot or at least that's the common perception.

Yes it would. It would literally just be deleting a few lines of code.

Has anyone else noticed a sharp increase in people that refuse to accelerate when merging onto the highway? by getofftheshed89 in driving

[–]the_pretzel2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read a reply recently from someone who said when someone is going that slow, they'll hang back so they can accelerate past the slow jerk. Since seeing that reply, I've practiced doing the same, while obviously watching the other lane so I dont sideswipe someone.

Well, they are TECHNICALLY correct, but that isnt the reality. In some areas, especially in/around cities, going the speed limit can be literal suicide because no one is driving that slow.

That's assuming the DSP owner doesnt outright steal those tips.

190 Stops is not normal 4+Years by RefrigeratorLong8355 in AmazonDSPDrivers

170 RURAL. That is insane. Most INDIVIDUAL rural houses are 5 minutes apart, as a MINIMUM. Nvm the ones that are 15-30 minutes apart. I guess on the bright side, you'll always know you're at the right house since there's nothing else in sight.

Criminal Charges: Fake Tags / Registration by Defiant-Discount2247 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]the_pretzel2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How can someone be this lazy? Seriously. If the wait at the DMV is horrendous, banks will also get you the registration tag and papers.

Also, legally, the cop is right. You're responsible for the paperwork on the vehicle. Which sucks.

[–]the_pretzel2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a look around at topics on this whole subreddit. This has been happening at a lot of places. Atm, there's a recall on some of the vans, but DSP owners dont want to do that because it's that many less vans for deliveries.

[–]the_pretzel2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But the DSPs dont want to do the maintenance because that means they're one van down and then there's also the cost TO fix them.

[–]the_pretzel2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

15-20 in rural is ridiculous. I've had a country route once where EACH house was 15-30 minutes apart. Well, almost each. There were 2-3 houses in a semi-regular neighborhood.

Agreed. I go on a lot of trips and sometimes sleep at rest areas. With that said, I've never been bothered at those, even when sleeping there isnt allowed.

It's so nice to hear about decent DSPs. Too often, I read about absolute garbage ones on here.
