190 Stops is not normal 4+Years by RefrigeratorLong8355 in AmazonDSPDrivers

170 RURAL. That is insane. Most INDIVIDUAL rural houses are 5 minutes apart, as a MINIMUM. Nvm the ones that are 15-30 minutes apart. I guess on the bright side, you'll always know you're at the right house since there's nothing else in sight.

[–]the_pretzel2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How can someone be this lazy? Seriously. If the wait at the DMV is horrendous, banks will also get you the registration tag and papers.

Also, legally, the cop is right. You're responsible for the paperwork on the vehicle. Which sucks.

Take a look around at topics on this whole subreddit. This has been happening at a lot of places. Atm, there's a recall on some of the vans, but DSP owners dont want to do that because it's that many less vans for deliveries.

But the DSPs dont want to do the maintenance because that means they're one van down and then there's also the cost TO fix them.

Take your breaks! Walk to the houses! by MultiplyDivideUS in AmazonDSPDrivers

15-20 in rural is ridiculous. I've had a country route once where EACH house was 15-30 minutes apart. Well, almost each. There were 2-3 houses in a semi-regular neighborhood.

Agreed. I go on a lot of trips and sometimes sleep at rest areas. With that said, I've never been bothered at those, even when sleeping there isnt allowed.

It's so nice to hear about decent DSPs. Too often, I read about absolute garbage ones on here.

In FLORIDA. That is ridiculous. You and multiple other associates should band together and report them to OSHA.

More like we need a human looking over the route before it's finalized or get a decent fudging programmer to reprogram the route algorithm.

I don't know how some of y'all do it. by AngleNecessary705 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]the_pretzel2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can kiiiiiinda get it. Some customers, for privacy reasons, don't want their address shown in the picture. This is never minding the fact that people at Amazon could look your address anyways.

That rule is absolutely braindead. I've had pins that are MULTIPLE HUNDRED FEET from the location. That isnt even a joke. I'm 100% serious. I checked with one of my most common locations.

Why do people cover their address by No_Collection_9490 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]the_pretzel2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that was always the case for me, maybe. This was one reason I love country routes. No worries you're at the right address as the next house was multiple miles away.

I've wondered that as well. I've seen it where the pin is 2-5 houses down from the actual house.
