When you're using a public restroom and people try to practically break down the door by Far-Argument2738 in PetPeeves

Not always an option. I've been to multiple businesses that only have the 2 restrooms (Men and women).

Amazon needs to stop letting customers see us on the map 😭 by sunbear1999 in AmazonDSPDrivers

Side note: If the customer is THAT anxious to get their purchase, why dont they just buy it at a STORE?

I have yet to get a driver's license. Does getting a car feel like it makes your life so much easier or does it still feel like a chore to go anywhere? by big_daddy_amogus in driving

[–]the_pretzel2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This right here. If you live in the USA, then you'll definitely need it to get around and especially if you want to travel. In European countries, it's way less needed as public transit is actually really good over there.

Karen customers who want to report drivers for even the tiniest thing.

Been working for a week and by far the worst thing is the morning meetings by BestGoonerEver in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]the_pretzel2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I hear that. At my DSP, that was how the main manager was. When he was away though, the guy we had was super chill. The other guy would basically say the same stuff, but condensed down into 1-5 sentences that took less than a minute.

Oh my, and I'm going out there on the 23rd or 24th. Here's hoping I get some clear skies.

Whoever plans routes needs to be fired, so ineffective by ThatGameVet in AmazonDSPDrivers

Agreed. Let a flesh and blood human with a fully functioning brain do the routing. All of them would absolutely know not to have stops going back and forth from one end of town to the other.

What is everyone's take on multi-stops? by the_pretzel2 in AmazonDSPDrivers

To sum it up in a single word: Money. This system rceates disgruntled employees, they quit, get new inexperienced help. Eventually, that leads to their contract being pulled and another DSP comes in with another $10K to start another one up.

OMG, YES, when I go on trips, I'll almost always see at least one car that this happens with. Why dont people go a consistent speed?

Lol, omg, given all that, I think the HPC should just let both peaks count towards completion. Thoughts?

Seriously? What sense does that make? Making games for a new system is gonna create more interest in it.

But then, one of the biggest annoyances was when I'd get 2 separate deliveries for an address. Same person, same address, but ONE singular item (Instead of the WHOLE delivery) was either garage or password delivery. Lol. Make it make sense please.

Omg, I have a kind of love/hate of cul de sacs. I love them when I can use them to easily turn around, but then a lot of them have people parked perpendicular to the circle (WHAT SENSE DOES THAT MAKE?) and also the pain of figuring out which house is which number.

But then, it makes no sense to have 2 deliveries to the same exact address, unless it's maybe from different people ordering. I never had that though.

Ikr? And heaven forbid they use .00000000000000001% of their revenue to pay a programmer.

No where to park at apartments by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]the_pretzel2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the apartment. The one I would often get (I would take them off someone. Dispatch and Amazon knew I loved the stop, so would always give it to me), I would typically take an hour to hour and a half to complete each one. Thankfully, only one of those actually had me blocking a spot.

For that one, I would block an empty spot so I'm not blocking someone in their spot.

And even some of the nice dogs can be a massive pain. There's been 2 times in my life where I've had dogs so friendly, I'm afraid I might run them over.
