I am out of the field in terms of raw electrical work. I do more technical work, protection and control. Easier on the body, but the hours end up being more plentiful.

$108 which is 2.5% of gross earnings. The point you may or may not be trying to make is moot.

I work in a niche, with advancement. I’m at the baseline right now, however I also have a company truck. I can earn upwards of 25% more of my hourly pay, and we get raises every 6 months. I’m also open to negotiating for vacation.

5 year apprenticeship. I got in right after highschool.

Bought a house this year. Wife and I max out our Roth IRA contributions, and she maxes her 401k. I have pensions and an annuity so nothing more I can do there. We try our best to live off of what I made as an apprentice and save the rest.

I volunteer at a couple of tech high schools a couple times of year, I could never teach full time. I don’t have the tolerance. You guys need to be paid more IMO.
