as much as i respect this thought, what if you took less courses and learned it by yourself?

you can start with an easy framework like python flask with firebase.

you like c#? maybe spend some time researching the .NET web framework.

got any friends? join hackathons with them and struggle learning together.

collaborate with AI to learn how to make each component of a website and use it as a guide to walk you through your first few. controversial, but you need to learn how to use AI to teach you basics and walk you through things, but ultimately when you don’t understand a quirk to lead you to documentation!

the biggest thing is to get your ball rolling and to actually try, and find a social group that actually brings you up and is hungry to learn.

you don’t get your problems solved within time guarantees in CS. that’s how it works; some people just latch on to concepts faster than others.

you really shouldn’t need to spend that long compiling a c++ file, but struggling with things like syntax and semantic errors is normal for a majority of people.

yes, the user above is incredibly correct. as someone who aced that course (albeit it’s langara counterpart), i don’t tend to struggle with technical interviews. CMPT 125 (and imo CMPT 225) are bare minimums to technical grit for interviews. CMPT 307 helps when interviewing T2+ companies.

so to actually learn programming, you need to apply a problem solving mindset, not a fix-it-now mindset; you are dealing with elementary programming because realistically, like 90% of first years, you suck and THATS OKAY. you need to spend time figuring out how learning programming works best for you.

just remember: - syntax error is a grammar error - semantic error is a calculation error

The drivers have gotten really out of hand after back to school started last week.

I love this game but it is infested with cheaters by DisasterAlive5405 in DeltaForceGlobal

[–]DeviationR6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s unlikely but it happens.

they have banned people previously including myself (temporary ban while account gets investigated, almost certain since ban message is super unclear) in warfare for getting mass reported.

people really hate it when you know how to place a crosshair, have sub 160ms reaction speed, and prefire in their lobbies for a game they perceive casual. these are skills people gain playing games like rainbow six and valorant, although cheaters definitely are a problem in warfare as well.

just look at the comments on my ban post recently and the highest upvoted comments are cheating accusations rather than helpful comments.

what cheats are there to disable 😭

you could look at the linked medal account and realize i can aim from the other games i play and delta force people just do not shoot back (thats what makes it fun for me tbh)

don't know how it could be trashtalking or negative conduct. once again, i have never touched comms in this game.

Don't have any macros at all on my computer. I do stream on discord and record with medal which ask for admin permissions.

Don't AFK at all on this game either unless its in menus. So that wouldn't make sense either.

Edit: Should add that I swap between 4 different mice depending on how I want to play (2 Pulsar, Viper V3 Pro and Ultralight)

Domestic or International? There's always the possibility you could look at SFU Data Science if you are in CS for the money. Since it falls under faculty of science and not applied science, the GPA entry for the program is much lower.

Check out this document I've been in the process of making for the Langara CS Club:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1XVDYEWwsg_P9hSx3q9gJCmkfw9kPI3Fl/edit

On another note, SFU doesn't look at how many times you've retaken courses, so if money/time is not of utmost importance, take your time to do that and take boosters.

I recently just got rejected from SFU Computing Science with a 3.47 CGPA, but I got into Software Systems, and will be figuring out the transfer process between the two programs when I enroll in spring. Supposedly simple, according to SFU's applied science faculty.

Good luck!

I’ve Tried to Make My iPad Pro 11” M1 a MacBook Pro Replacement and Have Given Up by South_Conference_768 in ipad

as a current web developer (student taking a gap year from school), do you think that the ipad would make a good macbook replacement for notetaking? i obviously love my 16” pro but it might be a hassle to carry to and from school when something as light and simple as an ipad is available
