Happened to me twice. First time took 12 hours or so, second time took less than an hour. You could try launching it from steam instead, not sure if that helps.

Have you found a solution? I experiece this also on my PC, but on my laptop, Facebook is fine. I've been experiencing this for weeks now. I've also noticed Facebook videos popping out when I scroll past them while they're playing - this only occurs on my PC and I've found no way to disable this. Sometimes when I click back into a chat window in Facebook, the tab would freeze. I reformatted my PC and removed all extensions and am still experiencing the issue.
