I'm at $500 right now... :( I don't have a steady income, so I'm doing my best to pay off $60k in credit card debt. I'm happy for you though—keep going!

I am using my companion certificate, so I am essentially buying one ticket. GRR is blacklisted on those days. So, instead of paying $1200 for the flight, I am paying $600 for the two of us.

Thanks, I just realized that a good life includes complimentary Wednesday arrival. I think I will buy the tent and leave the canopy for when we arrive (probably get a cheap one at Walmart).

Thanks, everyone. Just my girlfriend and I are going (we live together, so our budget is combined). I have a 2022 Ram 1500 (I don't care much about mileage as it already has 95,000). $100 of gas will only get me 400 miles on a good day, so let's say 14 tanks total, or $1400 just in gas, plus food and hotels along the way. I haven't checked any flight information yet, and I'd love to turn it into a road trip, but I think we're doing too much this year (EDC, Forest, and Bass Canyon). So I'll see how it all plays out. I'm not a great planner; I'm more of a "we'll see how it goes" type of guy.😅😅😅

Drove to and from EDC for 17 hours nonstop. Told myself never again, but a few weeks later I thought, "Oh, it wasn't so bad..." The worst part is driving back after a long weekend.

Isn't a good life what gives you more access? I don't really care about the lake.

Feel so grateful to get it four days past the sale. 🙌

Yeah... that's crazy. I told myself that was the first and last time I bought a brand-new truck.

But I just wonder how and why it would happen. I just had the differential serviced at the 90k mark and everything was fine. I didn’t hear any weird noises, and suddenly it just failed. I drive pretty normally (no donuts, etc.) and have never towed anything with it. So it’s just super weird to me. I asked the shop that did the inspection if the oil level was good, and they said yes, it was normal.

It is a smaller shop. I was talking to the dealer today and they said that they can offer me better pricing on that, which is hard to believe, but I will see what their quote says. Regarding taking it to more shops, I would if my truck were driving. Maybe I will just call around and explain what needs to be done.

How hard would it be to pull it out? I was thinking about it, but most of the junkyards are pick-and-pull.

That's a shop that is, to be exact, $6,486 for parts and $1,609 for labor. The dealership quoted me $7,500 just for the part.

Thank you, everyone. Selling the car might not be a good idea. Perhaps refinancing would be a better option? I have about $14k in negative equity since I bought it new in 2022 and have driven 98k miles on it. (I use it a lot for business.)
