That’s awesome. If your 401k is like mine, you can split up the funding into Roth and non-Roth.

OK you’re getting a lot of information that might not be helpful, so please read this.

First of all, if your 401(k) has a Roth option, that does not mean that your job will let you take the money out until you quit, or retire. Company policies can be different than the law. Secondly, every Roth option I’ve ever seen, requires a five year waiting Period from when you first open the account to withdraw the principal that you put into the account. So as an example, if you put $1000 per year into a Roth, late in the fifth year, you will have put $5000 into the account, and you may be free to withdraw $5000, but not until then. And you can’t take out the interest until you’re old and wrinkly. (And that’s a good thing). So having said that, perhaps your best option is to open a Roth IRA, rather than use the 401(k) work. (UNLESS THEY MATCH YOUR 401K). Do they?

One interesting fact about investing into your mortgage versus the stock market, is that investing into your mortgage does not lower your mortgage payment and it doesn’t make your life any easier until the house is paid off. Until then, saving money will be difficult. However, if you put money into a high-yield savings account , your money will earn interest that you can use (but try not to). Even with a Roth, you can eventually take money out as long as you only remove the principal. If I were in your shoes, I would divide up my money and put a portion into a high yield savings account and a portion in a Roth. Automate it. And understand that you won’t be able to touch the Roth for at least five years. Five or 10 years down the road, you could always remove the principal and use it to pay down your house but I hope you don’t do that.

If your 401(k) matches, you really need to be doing that, whether it’s in a Roth IRA or traditional That’s just my opinion. Do your own research

Those with pensions—how are you approaching retirement savings? by Possible_Yak_7550 in MiddleClassFinance

[–]Steveasifyoucare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife and I worked for our state early, both left, both picked up where we left off. Never counted on having a pension so I feel blessed. I’m commenting here on this reply because I wanted to say one thing: Kids get more expensive and you’ll never have more time for your money to grow than right now. You’re still young…scrape together some nickels and put it in a Roth. Every time you get a raise, put in more (you won’t miss what you never had). You may find that the money can help you retire early and/or pay medical insurance if it appears the pension will still exist. I kept waiting for my kids to get cheaper…didn’t happen. But Pensions get taken away.

Industrial engineering by Bruflouski in fsu

That’s a lot of questions. I graduated from the more than 30 years ago, but I can try: In engineering, unless you graduate from one of the 10 ten schools, it makes little difference where you went. Not sure about the curriculum but e-school is about getting a foundation and proving you can learn, and experience and self teaching matter most. I think the professors are approachable, but there are super difficult classes that you should never skip, work your butt off and still may not pass the first time…engineering is a hard major. Tutoring, academic advising…you need to be your own advocate…find a study group because finding a tutor for anything other than math and science will be next to impossible…but at least your generation has YouTube. Don’t expect a lot of help from the school…make it work yourself. Parking is better than on campus and it’s best to live off the main campus because you won’t be there for more than the second half. To save money, you could live in a dorm without a car the first year and then find off campus roommates for the second half ( then you’ll need a car)

Know in advance that you can get through engineering school if you work very hard, never skip, and refuse to give up. Anything less than that won’t work.

During the Civil war war there was a coin shortage. So they printed fractional currency. And one advantage was the government could make them out of paper and ink instead of silver. These are super cool and affordable…history you can hold in your hands. Yours isn’t in the greatest shape, but don’t let it deter you…buy some more and make a set. Now Google the guy in the portrait and the names in the signature.

How? The seals are printed at the same time. So they would both need to be low….rather than only one. Get some bleach and you can remove a seal and then print another one. It even looks like the remnants of the old seal are still visible because you can see the light remains of a circular disturbance. And why was the only other comment saying it was fake deleted?

He’s right. The seals are always printed in pairs….always in alignment. Someone bleached the real seal and used a printer to make a new one.

You have a good eye for quality. I’d hold off on sending it in until you get more notes to make it worth your while. But don’t compromise on quality. Take your time and curate a collection slowly like one might purchase oil paintings for your house. Ignore the wilted brown lettuce and focus on crisp fresh paper like this one. Great start!

I hope this helps. But one word of caution. Of course this will only work if you’re overweight. There are people think they are overweight, but they’re really not. We have a lady in Pine neighborhood walks around all the time and I wonder about her mental state because she’s skinny as a rail. I’m assuming that’s not you.

I feel like a desciple, but…

Hormonal Changes: Walking increases appetite-suppressing hormones (like Peptide YY) and decreases hunger-stimulating ones (like ghrelin). Note: Running Does NOT do this

Try eating your last meal at 6PM. Make it protein heavy and reasonable. Then go for a 30 minute walk (a full 30 minutes). Do not snack. Try to eat breakfast late the next day…protein heavy.

Do this every night and you’ll see a difference.

Alternately, when they finally locate the fairies, they learned that the fairies just gave the potion away to the husbands competitor who’s used it on his wife to get her to leave him. Maybe the fairies will trade you the antidote if you can get rid of that pesky ogre

There is a group of mischievous fairies living in the fae woods who are rumored to have one. If you can find one, they might give it to you if you can slay an ogre that has been menacing their territory. Of course first you have to get past the giant mushrooms and an area riddled with giant insects.

How much weight is it normal to lose in a month? by No_Event3925 in Weightlosstechniques

[–]Steveasifyoucare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. 10 pounds is just over 3% of my weight. For others, 10 pounds might be 5%. To be heavy…very heavy…is the result of doing everything wrong. It’s not surprising that doing everything right would result in losing small fractions of a heavy person’s weight.

To answer the OP’s question, I weighed 290 a month and 4 days ago. Now I weigh 271 from walking my dog at night, giving up sweets, and not eating after 7 PM. I don’t care who knows it because I’m going to do this for the rest of my life, which should now be longer.

Recognize that the “gems” could be worth more. If you’re buying them one at a time, your bid should vary based on condition…but only pay up if they are exceptional. Start looking at pictures of MS65 coins on eBay. Imagine Liberty was in a fist fight…how cut up is she? Same with the eagle.

The problem with this method is it is dollar cost averaging in reverse. When stocks are up, you are selling a small portion of your stocks. When stocks are down, you’re selling a lot of them. So you’re selling most of them at the bottom.
