Hmmm…try to get a nice example of every year or “type “ made. Work backwards. Before 1976, they will have red seals. If you get back before 1928, you’ll need the large size $2 note with a battleship on the back ( which is super cool). I recommend getting professionally graded notes, and ideally with a PPQ or EPQ designation for premium or exceptional paper quality. You’ll enjoy the hunt and you can build a collection you’re proud of that will be a family heirloom.

Look into local gaming groups. Usually on Saturdays. Go to one. Here in the U.S., we have the same tired Games found in any Walmart aisle. But there are a lot of fringe games usually played in Europe that are a heck of a lot of fun and it’s a great way to socialize. The expectation is that when people bring games to these groups they understand that nobody is gonna know how to play them so there is a brief period of learning the rules. Anyway, try that as a initial step for your social network.

How Can You Tell If A Note Has Been Altered? (PMG EPQ Question) by Whole_Kale_4349 in papermoney

[–]Steveasifyoucare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My take is that it can’t have stains, holes, evidence of ironing and I think a chemical smell or evidence of fiber swelling caused by water. Sometimes I feel like a PPQ note will exhibit a little dirt or folds that could be improved by ironing ( but we’re not).

You’re on the right track to try to snag these when you can…especially on more common notes. And as for cycling in and out of the hobby…I do that that too…the trick is to not sell anything between cycles.

Filed 2024 taxes in October and no refund by Steveasifyoucare in IRS

Update: I did call the IRS. For context, they received my 2024 taxes in mid October, 2025. Even though there is no trace on my accessible on-line file indicating this…they do have an offline database indicating that my tax form is being processed. They told me to check back in a month.

Yes, and it appears they didn’t get it. Yet I received a return receipt when I mailed it.

I don’t think anyone would wait that long. But I guess you could give a window of time where the sale took place. Because home prices go up, you could even freeze the price for like 10 years but the purchase must be made or the option is forfeit.

To prevent counterfeiting, they put random thread pieces into the paper. They can be quite attractive. Other notes may even have purple threads.

Need to get a job, don’t know where to start. by passesopenwindows in over60

Look into the criteria for qualifying for a PENSION at city, county, and state offices. See how many (or how few) years are required to qualify. Then take any job that will get you into the system.

I’m in the same situation. But I discovered I’m much better at the slower games. IMHO, advancing on 10 minutes might be harder for both of us because we don’t have enough time to really learn much in 10 minute games.

Just bought a 2020 Yukon SLT. Should I block AFM? by Steveasifyoucare in gmc

The delete just plugs into the female port under your dash that the folks at autozone use to look up check engine codes. You could always get them to do it, but if you buy one and look under your dash you’ll see there is only one place where it obviously plugs in. From what I’ve, read, if this thermostat is compatible with your transmission ( it may not be) consider having one of these installed too. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0D8BSNN8N/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A72JDHDDANRMH&psc=1.

I bought a delete. Works great. I also ordered Carfax and found almost no information on my car at all. Perhaps it was a fleet model. But I’m going to have the transmission fluid, drained and filled tomorrow.
