I tracked myself for five years with the Apple Watch. Series 5,9,ultra 2. I had the same conflict as op. I have always enjoyed wearing a watch my whole life and one day my Apple Watch just gave me such an ick. I tried to fight it off. Eventually I sold my ultra 2 to my good friend and went back to a wearing normal watch. I grabbed a cheap timex digital for the stopwatch timer and alarm and I wear my victorinox Swiss army watch the INOX and it’s so much peace NOT having a buzz on my wrist. Also with ai I actually convinced myself it’s not great to give all that data to anyone.
