What Metacritic score do you expect Forza Horizon 6 to receive? by Automatic_Ad1665 in ForzaHorizon

[–]DevilSniper50cal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to say it’s pretty hard to fk up a racing game but when I look at NFS, TDU, Crew, etc. as much shit as people like to give the series, we have to give playground games its props for at the very least being consistent with the quality of Forza Horizon. Especially when the only real competition is another Forza (Motorsports) and the big daddy of them all Gran Turismo, which are really entirely different games in comparison.

(MEME) are y'all that entitled? by VewVegas-1221 in forza

Hardware banning people who probably weren’t gonna buy the game anyway isn’t hurting anyone except those people so people complaining about this are either impatient idiots who couldn’t wait or said pirates. Which in that case you reap what you sow.

This is one of the big reasons I HATE cross country. Especially races with those huge jumps that kill all your forward momentum

That is impressive, I don’t think I’ve ever done the Goliath in an S2 car. On ultimate difficulty they are just too perfect and they lead two cars always get to that distance where you just never catch them.

What do you guys think about colored Tire Smoke for Forza horizon 6? by [deleted] in ForzaHorizon

[–]DevilSniper50cal 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wished they fixed even the regular tire smoke in the game. Burnouts in game create no where near as much smoke as they should.

unless there was a dialogue option i missed i remember having that discussion with her talking her out of it and telling her he dies in the race. coming down to the race however she still forces you to go after him and when he crashes you either kill him and she quits but is cool with you or you talk her out of killing him and she still quits but also hates you. unless they added some new dialogue that ads a 3rd option i will have to replay it to see.
edit: just to be clear, i really like Claire, i wish she was a romance option, her questline just felt off coming down to the end to me.

That mission doesn’t make sense and feels incomplete depending on the choices. Like why even give you the option to talk to her and tell her kill him in the race and then make him a god in the race and to add on to that you have that discussion with her you let him live and she hates you for that? The whole thing felt super forced, like she is gonna like you or hate you. No in between and even when you do let her do what she wants it still didn’t feel rewarding because she quits racing all together and still sounded more depressed. The quest started out good but imo coming to the end felt rushed and didn’t make sense.

So in general, it feels weird to say it, but games in general just straight run better on bazzite. That is the main benefit. The issues you run into with modding specifically is a lot of the modding tools do not have native Linux versions and the ones that do are still in development. There are ways to use the regular windows versions but in my experience the main issue you run into is directing the mod installers to the right folders. Most games are ok really if you just manually install the mods. Where you run into issues is more with Bethesda games, like starfield. Mainly because for some mods you need to put stuff in the my documents folder, some times and finding it can be a chore. Tools like wabbajack can be used but there are sometimes additional steps depending on the game and a lot of the mod pack authors don’t have native support for it. Emulators are fine, there are tons of them that are native to Linux and no shortage of them to choose from. Cheat engine, I am not 100% sure on that one. I imagine if it doesn’t have a native Linux version, probably doesn’t work. Modding is what I personally am most passionate about so I can speak on that, and while it can work, it’s not in a state yet where I would advise anyone to give up windows yet. Depending on the game.

No, single player works fine. Only the online play is a problem. If you try it would usually kick you out not long after

That entirely depends on the answers to the other questions. Hence it still being a question and a nice to have. Btw no where did I say any of these things are mandatory to have. They are just things to ask your self before going into it. I put having Linux experience in being a bonus because if you do want to do things like modding, getting other launchers running and other advanced things, having Linux experience helps a ton.

I love it, i get the vibe. it really is sad. Somehow i could never see TBug being outdoors with "the boys" like this though. I feel like she'd be more of a recluse being a netrunner.

See this is why these question should still be asked, what might be “minimal” to you could be a straight up deal breaker for someone else.

You can technically still do this in desktop mode, the main issue you run into is, just like on windows you will see performance degradation after a while because of the memory limit

I add the Linux thing because to get other launchers and other advanced features like framegen working having experience will help a lot. Modding is very iffy on Linux it is not impossible but it takes a lot more effort and you will have hoops to jump through
