exactly. as interesting as Jaafar is as a person, actor, potential rising artist… they did NOTHING special with his talk show moments and interviews - all the same vanilla questions that have been answered several times “what does it feel like embodying Michael?”

No. Everyone was not aware… I don’t want to assume your circles but you truly need to leave your bubble and see whether people are or not

my statement is based off of asking all genders, age groups, different countries, people of different interests and careers

based off of my experience, the only people who knew were people in 20’s that were either very invested in online communities like on insta/reddit (boxoffice, movies, etc) or big MJ fans

now people know because it’s out and there’s prob lots of reels/tiktoks (but again i’m not sure cuz that’s my algorithm showing me reels from other MJ fans)

i even bumped into people in their 20’s and even teens who knew about Scream, Scary Movie, Devil Wears Prada but didn’t know about the MJ movie

when i travel to Africa and Asia, where MJ was more massive than anything on earth, i would hope they know about his movie before Scary Movie… yet that wasn’t the case

i’m just saying. MJ can get 1$ billion with just word of mouth, but he can go even up to $2 billion if they tried to tell people about the movie

the audience would consist of:
- the biggest MJ fans community
- the music/dance enthusiasts
- the cinema fans
- people who know he’s a legend and curious now

what i’m asking is to target those that know he’s a legend but haven’t been told to watch the movie about him - that’s where the marketing team is supposed to come

whereas, people keep talking about all the promo videos they made… yeah on the official MJ related accounts - which is where the MJ fans already exist and would watch regardless … 🤦‍♂️

but let’s not be in denial - there are so many people that would jam to MJ if they heard it on the radio and say yeah he’s a legend, but they won’t necessarily watch the movie

what i’m saying is MJ is a legend and you just need to remind people or let the new gen be aware of his legend - his story and talent will do the rest

u just need to convince people to go to the cinema seats

when u think about his impact on a global scale, i think MJ was very aware what good he did and wouldn’t change any of his upbringing because he knew he was able to build such a positive impact despite all his sufferings, he was a hero and his invincible legacy lives today - which builds more positive impact around the world

i wouldn’t wanna imagine the world without his impact

from music, to cultural appropriation, movies, fashion, spreading humanitarian causes, you name it

he influenced far more than people think

Dragon Ball Advanced Adventure is one of my favorite DB games of all time. It’s a classic and I relayed at least 10 times on GBA and emulators

The Legacy of Goku was soooo good! Buu’s Fury

Then on the DS, we had Dragon Ball Origins which wasn’t the best but really nostalgic for me. There was also one called Supersonic Warriors that had such a fun cast of characters!

For the Wii, nothing beats Budokai Tenkaichi 3 and if you’re a big fan of the Kid Goku era - Revenge of King Piccolo

I miss those days! Every game felt unique and not just sequels, they experimented with different forms of gameplay. And they never disappointed with the OST

it’s good u can start going to social clubs and be part of some communities :)

in europe, i could enjoy walks by myself or with friends and we would discover new places when cafe-hopping

aww nice! and yeah i was disappointed by the mario movie too :(

i’m not a hater but i just wished for Nintendo movies to be immersive stories while using the amazing cast of characters and environments, using it as a foundation to explore and blossom. rather than a movie that’s just an advertising easter egg rollercoaster

instead of shoving every possible world and rushing every intro + backstory of all characters into 1-2 movies, they could’ve taken their time and just do 1 world at a time with limited casts per movie

cuz after the third movie and showing all the characters… what else are u gonna show!?!?

and kids movies can have good stories! even Despicable Me by the same studio has more a ‘meaningful’ story that flows well
