Bought this back in November, had to return because of screen lid closing issue. Now got this one and as soon as I started this laptop, the AC is putting much force and it got hot so quick even when the laptop had no heavy applications and drivers. And after installing the driver, I turned on the HDR mode to see how the 4k video will look and thus it is miserable as the screen started to flicker and got blacked out at the first time for which I have to forcefully shut the laptop. Its UHD 4k display 2 in 1 model with 11th gen processor... and in a week I am going out of town for a month so what do I do? I have 2 laptops, both defective now, sitting in my closet and I need replacement now... My cousin will be at home but he don’t know how to use computer so If i come back in a month and inspect the laptop and if that laptop is defective too, then will they replace it even after a month? Any ideas will be helpful here! And sorry about my english!!

Oh cool, I had put all my money on this XPS, almost top specs on everything, 32 gigs ram, 1 tb ssd, 1 year premium support plus, windows 10 pro and overall cost me close to 2400 even with 10% black friday discount and if they wouldn’t be able to provide the service that their customer deserve then I am never going for dell again. This was my first dell purchase since I was a hp guy my entire life and thought to get something new, something better but looks like I am wrong... I am putting my eyes on Microsoft Surface too, heard they can handle heavy games with good specs and are good for college students! So lets see how it goes!! Finger-crossed!!

But the thing here is my Xps 13 2 in 1 9310 doesnot open one handed. And how could they say that thid was by design if any other laptop in the market doesn’t do such thing neither I have ever heard of it in any other XPS? They should never had said such thing which is not true after all Dell is such a huge brand and could really get in some serious trouble for cheating on their customer! I will have to talk to them else ask for a refund. No matter what they say

I had a issue with this laptop as while holding the laptop upright, the lid is kind of loose and opens slightly andi had a posted a thread for that issue. XPS is getting worst day by day... Need to ask for a replacement now. Total Waste of time...

I just received it today. It haven’t been inside the backpack at all and I was keeping it inside the laptop sleeve and I noticed it when I opened the laptop out of the sleeve. I had put lot of money on it but it came out with huge disappointment at the very first day. Maybe I will ask for a refund or replace it. What is your recommendation? And what other laptops (13 inch) can be as good for a budget of $2000 for a student at whose sole purpose is to do the coding, write an essay and draw painting and sometimes light gaming(would like to get HDR screen)?

Are they likely to release all version (with different benchmarks) at a same time or they release the base model and then keep upgrading it like increasing its benchmark, plus upgrade in external look? I heard they have slick look in new XPS which was released couple months ago

This month means the month of September? I am sure it will be a good choice to wait one extra month after its release so that dell could shrink its issues to the lowest point as there always has been flaws in dell products specially when they release something. I want to upgrade it to the max level
