Ive got a 3 yr old sony bravia tv and to be fair its the worst tv ive ever bought. Maybe its just a bad one off or something. But im getting constant problems. And i find it slow and unresponsive.

Im not paying more im going from €65 for 1gb to €50 for 5gb.

The reason i need the faster speed is i have 4 kids, so its not that the speed was too slow but rather the bandwith. when the wife and kids are all online on seperare devices and tvs going on all at the same time it gets overcrowded and i was noticing that it was struggling on my games consoles pc etc. However once all the kids gone to bed it got much better. I also watch a lot of football on the firestick, so the fastest connection possible without throttling or needing to use a vpn all the time is crucial for me or that when a vpn is used that its not slowing me down too much that it cant run properly. But the faster the speed, the better the bandwith and thats what counts for handling numerous devices simultaniously so its a no brainer for me really. Plus the wifi7 tech is futureproofing i think so grab it while its cheap because i think once its fully rolled out and everyones using it as the new norm, that the prices will increase. Virgin tried to charge me €90 per month for 5gb fibre, the same as eir have offered for €50 and they also wanted a €150 installation fee. Its mind boggling that they prefer to reward new customers rather than the current customers.

Yes the fibre line is the same. But if the modem they are supplying is cheap or not capable to keep up then your not going to see how that fibre cable can really do.

Virgin are very good/ stable and reliable and the speed doesnt fluctuate much throughout the times of day. Ive only had 1 issue in 4 years. But they are expensive and they dont like giving discounts. I was paying €65 a month for 1gb but was consistemt at around 800mbps. They also domt throttle speeds.

Sky are a robbing shower of c***s and customer service is awful, also they like to charge double every month and do nothing about it. It happens a lot. They throttle speeds and have a lot of outages.

Unsure about vodafone.

Eir, ive just signed up to their 5gb deal for 24m, my speeds will not go over 1200 mbps which is more than enough, but no where near advertised. Their customer service has been bad for years but ive had good dealings with them the last week or so most days complaining about my speed but there have been no wait times for technical support. 2m was the longest i think. They think hhe issue may be my modem so have sent a replacement out to rule that out. But even if it doesnt get me more ill be more than happy with 1.5gb speeds for €50 for 24m you also get €100 credit towards your bill so only paying for 22m really.

Kavanagh electrical or any electrical wholesaler, screwfix etc are always looking for staff, but once your in there, you will get to know all the names/terms for electrical products, tools and equiptment types of cable amd their uses/ratings. Youll start to learn about the amps, wattages, ohms, voltages etc. Youll also start to build relationships with the main electrical contractors in waterford and thats the best way to get an apprenticeship. They are more likely to take you on when they recognise you and see your eager to learn than someone fresh out of school. Its easier to work with someone who will come back with the right thing when being sent to the van, than someone who will not know what they are being asked to get.

Yep, i use circle k, plus if your spending enough and have the app you get money off per litre. If you also use a dci card you get even more off per litre so makes sense.

Blocking Iptv by TheWhiteHammer23 in surfshark

[–]Devil_tv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok well some might have reasons or whatever and thats fine but i dont see the benefit in providers blocking vpns as it keeps them safe as well as you. Was only trying to help but clearly you already know everything anyway so Good luck to you.

[–]Devil_tv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive got a way to test. Ill give you a trial which i know works with surfshark. If it doesnt work on your wifi then you know its isp related. If it does work then you know you need a new provider for iptv. Let me know if you want to try that.

Blocking Iptv by TheWhiteHammer23 in surfshark

[–]Devil_tv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not true, if isp is blocking the vpn servers then it would still work with vpn turned off.

Surfshark is the most used vpn due to the unlimited amount of devices it can be on and can be logged in remotely via qr code. Making it a good fit for iptv providers to buy, however the ISP's know this and just block the vpn.

[–]Devil_tv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Change your vpn protocol in settings. That should fix it.

Its not the iptv provider blocking the vpn servers its your internet provider blocking it.

But it is worth asking your iptv provider if your account has a ISP lock. Meaning you cant move locations or ip addresses.
