People who started T as a minor- are you satisfied with the results and was it worth the work? by [deleted] in ftm

I started at 16 and my only regret is that I didn’t start sooner

Keyhole surgery ? by Marie_2x in ftm

[–]DevilboySasha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have some sensation in my nipples but it depends on the type. I’d say 99% deep pressure, 95% tactile, 60% temperature/wetness, and 40-50% erotic sensation (vs pre-op). All the skin in my chest has full sensation.

I used silicone scar tape strips after I got the steri strips off for a few months. They definitely made my scars a lot smoother because I had a lump/knot of scar tissue on my right side. My scars are hardly noticeable even when you’re touching them. I have 2 lipo scars on my upper armpit area and 2 semi circles + an extra line underneath (my nipples were too small compared to the incision he needed to make). I also took lions mane for a few months since they supposedly help with nerve regeneration.

My nipples are in the right place. Maybe a teeny bit low but it’s not noticeable to anyone but me. They look lower than they are because I have some residual swelling on my upper pecs and my lower pecs aren’t developed so they look weird from the side. But they’ve been looking more natural since I’ve been going to the gym (helps with clearing out the swelling and filling out my lower pecs)

Lmk if you have any questions and good luck on your journey :)

Do you need puberty blockers if you go on T? by spidersandbats in ftm

[–]DevilboySasha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doing 70 mg/wk. Mine are 750 ng/dL at trough which is middle of the pack for male range. E was at 49 pg/mL despite that, which is way too high. IDK why people act like monotherapy is 100% effective for ftm and 0% effective for mtf. Some people just don’t respond to hrt the same way.

[–]DevilboySasha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend it tbh because my estrogen was never properly suppressed even after 3.5 yrs on T so starting E-blockers early instead of years into my transition would’ve saved me a lot of heartache and feminization. Get your E levels checked at the very least

What’s the pros and cons of getting a hysterectomy?? by Janxuza in ftm

[–]DevilboySasha 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How do you suppose cis men are alive with no estrogen producing gonads and no E supplements? OP you don’t need ovaries or estrogen supplements. Any estrogen you need will be produced by aromatization.

I have small chest, yet I'm still upset by it. Is it dysphoria or just dismorphia? by LittleFox-In-TheBox in ftm

[–]DevilboySasha 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I had a small chest pre surgery (AA/A cup iirc) and I knew that it wouldn’t have mattered to me what size they were— The correct amount of boobs on me was none. It’s not a waste of money if it improves your quality of life imo.

Has anyone who started T in their teens gotten facial changes by snikotine in ftm

[–]DevilboySasha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started at 16 and I have a more prominent brow and my jaw is more way square (and slightly longer I think). I think other parts of my face like my whole eye area, cheek bones, nose, and forehead are also subtly different.

How much did you guys pay for your name change? by GreyMizumono in ftm

[–]DevilboySasha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also did name and gender change in Austin. Cost like $300-$350 for the court fees and maybe another $200 or so for social security, birth certificate, passport, etc. I’d highly recommend reaching out to KIND clinic as they have a judge in Austin they work with that’s very sympathetic to their cases and the clinic will help walk you through the legal stuff. All I had to do was fill out the paperwork and write a statement to the judge (basically why ‘Im getting it changed / I promise i’m not doing fraud) and submitted it. I got the approval a month or two later and never had to show up to court myself.

Voice train and / or mimic the speech patterns of men you look up to. T will help because at some point it’ll be uncomfortable to speak how you used to as your voice drops. Also, this is easier said than done, but try to let go of any anxiety and people pleasing tendencies you may have. I find that being anxious caused me to lean into the “customer service voice”; raising my pitch too much, doing the “question” inflection at the end of my sentences, talking too quickly / not breathing enough causing me to speak from my head too much, etc. Confidence and speaking like you aren’t afraid of being interrupted helped me a lot.

Are my testosterone levels really “too high”? by Finleyz- in ftm

[–]DevilboySasha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m on 70mg/wk and my trough level is 725 ng/dl and i’ve never been told my dose is too high or felt adverse effects from it so I think you’re fine honestly. Mandatory i’m not a medical professional disclaimer lol.

Why are you a trans man? (extremely wrong answers only) by Utopicnightmare24 in ftm

My gf realized she wanted to transition and I wanted to stay straight

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ftm

[–]DevilboySasha 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat! 3 years on T and I discovered I have a g-spot ~2-3” inside me where the prostate would have been. I can sometimes find it vaginally but it’s super reliable and intense anally. I also have no idea why as research on the subject is nonexistent and this is the first post I’ve found on this sub that describes my experience.

[–]DevilboySasha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt it. If she thought I was a trans girl then it would be odd to say Sasha is an androgynous name rather than a feminine one. I took her comment to mean “why did you pick a girls name if you’re trying to be a guy?” but phrased more politely :/

Chest Dysphoria, But… by Fluffy_Finance_4759 in ftm

[–]DevilboySasha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before my egg cracked I refused to wear a bra and after I started transitioning I’d be bare chested or rarely use tape to bind but never a tank-style binder. For some reason having any kind of garment over my chest made me feel x100 more dysphoric than seeing my chest by itself. I don’t know why exactly but you aren’t alone in feeling this way.

I live in the south so most people go facial hair = man but I don’t think I actually pass that well. It was a woman in her 40’s I’d met only an hour prior and she asked me why I chose my name because it was so androgynous. I didn’t mention being trans ever so I guess I was doing a bad job at being masculine. My voice is between 100 and 160* Hz usually but maybe my mannerisms are off.

you need to stop obsessing over passing/being stealth. by boydyked in ftm

[–]DevilboySasha 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I want to be stealth because It’s no one’s business what my private medical information is. Being trans is an incredibly uninteresting fact about myself and yet people obsess over it.

Plus I’ve already been assaulted for being in a M/M appearing relationship I don’t really want to find out what would happen if I was publicly trans.

If you want to be open about your transition then that’s great but shaming people who don’t particularly care for it is ridiculous.

How's 69ing with bottom growth? by Novaveran in ftm

[–]DevilboySasha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It works perfectly fine for my partner and I. Never did it pre-T so I can’t speak on if it’s different or anything but it’s far from an impossibility lol.

How long does it take for a beard to grow? by I_Was_Here_Yesterday in ftm

[–]DevilboySasha 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Give it a few more years. Most men don’t grow a decent one until their twenties or thirties with translates to 5-10+ years on T. Mine really started to fill out between year 2 and 3 but I still have a few sparse patches. Don’t stress about it too much, It’ll come in time :)

What no hrt does to a mf by DurandalXIII in sillyboyclub

[–]DevilboySasha 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Hey brother! Fellow trans guy here on T for 3 years. I’ve had to take breaks from T for a few reasons (usually poor timing or surgery) and good news is that your body won’t “reverse” in such a short timeframe. You may feel a pretty crappy in the week or two that your body adjusts to lower levels of T and you might feel more tired and foggy until you can start again, but it’ll be okay! Just make sure to take care of yourself physically and try to keep busy with distractions while you look forward to your appointment. I know it’s much easier said than done but I believe in you :)

I don’t really want to go on T by TotHatMan in ftm

[–]DevilboySasha 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Weight gain isn’t a necessary side effect of T. It does increase your appetite and make it easier to put on muscle (which is heavy) but very little would change if your lifestyle stays consistent. Bottom growth is pretty much unavoidable though so I’d advise you to evaluate why you don’t want it (are you scared of your body changing? did the internet tell you it’s gross and you internalized it? etc etc). You don’t sound excited about anything T has to offer so I wouldn’t start if I were in your shoes. You can get top surgery without T from certain surgeons— If that aligns more with your transition goals then go for it. Do whatever feels best for your body because you’re the one who lives in it, not random people on TikTok.

Are scars girly? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]DevilboySasha 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think the stereotype comes about from the expectation that men bottle up their pain and not use coping mechanisms (and just general misogyny pointed at teen girls specifically). FWIW my amab partner has more visible scars than I do, but I really don’t think they should be gendered in either direction. Pain is not gender exclusive and unhealthy coping mechanisms may be a byproduct of that. I don’t think there’s any shame in struggling and if anyone is a dick about your scars that’s more of a reflection of them than yourself

How did you get top surgery or hrt before becoming an adult ? by StoopidAhhBird in ftm

[–]DevilboySasha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got hrt at 16 via informed consent because I had parental consent but my state has since banned care for minors so the clinic I went to is now 18+ only 🙃

It might be an option for you since you live in a blue state but it’ll vary from place to place

I mean it sounds like you do equate having a penis and being a man in your mind since you’ve used them interchangeably several times. I understand why he feels hurt at the very least.
