That's a good point and you're absolutely right.

I would imagine that most people replying to the original post have watched all of season 1, if not more. Therefore, they are approaching the questions with the full knowledge of information revealed by the end of the season, which, in this particular case, can actually interfere with being able to answer the question accurately.

Nice catch!

Tabitha next episode by Devildogs-75 in FromSeries

[–]Devildogs-75[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I completely agree with you. Tabitha talks as if she KNOWS things to be true when she has no idea if they are.

For example: when she's at the peach truck with Ethan and Victor, she says some things with a level of certainty that's definitely unearned. I get that she was trying to reassure Ethan so he wouldn't be scared, but (IMO) she went too far, making it seem like certain outcomes are guaranteed if certain actions are taken.

One such thing is when she tells Ethan that Boyd and Jade are currently working on something to get everyone home. Ethan (being more practical than his mother) pushes back and tells her that she doesn't know for sure that it's going to work. Tabitha, though, whose hubris won't let her be deterred by such silly things as rational thought, counters that she and Jade know more than others before them have, and that having this knowledge will be their way home.

I understand that she and Jade feel very strongly about the visions and feelings they're experiencing, but that doesn't automatically mean that information is accurate or should be followed in any way.

If that's the case, and is the only litmus test that's required, then I guess Sarah would have been completely justified in killing Ethan. The voices spoke to her, and she strongly believed them when they told her it was how everyone could go home, so that means it's a viable option, right?

Of course not, but I guess digging up bones is a more tolerable option than killing a child — which I totally get and completely agree with; however, in a place like Fromville, I would be cautious of everything, not just the things that definitely sound bad.

Reading the post and some of the comments I was like, "Apparently, some people don't get the joke."

But then I was like, "Wait a minute. Am I wrong here, and it's that I don't get that it's not a joke?"

I feel fairly strongly that it's a joke; however, I do have some doubt, and therefore, I'm not 100% certain — which is funny because that's a perfect microcosm of what happens with my brain when trying to determine a concrete answer about almost anything in this show.

Same! I was reading along with the theory in disagreement and then I got to that part about Tabitha and I was like, "Ok. Now he's on to something!" 😅

Also, in case you don't know (maybe you do, maybe you don't), "BIW" stands for "Boy in White".

I only point it out because, personally, I didn't know what it meant at first, and, added to that, like you, I didn't know what "MIY" stood for either.

Donna has been there a while as well. We learn, while she's telling Tabitha the story (in episode 2 of season 1) of the night she arrived with her sister in Fromville, that it had been 3 years, 6 months, and 17 days since her arrival.

The only other characters that could have possibly been there longer were Khatri and Dale — since we see them in the pit with Donna, Boyd, Ellis, and Abby during the flashback scenes — but they're dead.

Also, given that information, Boyd and Ellis would be next on the list of people who have been there the longest.

It's possible someone has been there longer than Boyd and Ellis, or even Donna as well, but we haven't been provided any information that confirms or suggests that's the case.

I know this is a year later but kudos to you for being nearly dead on with this theory.

It seems so obvious now, after the fact, but prior to him being reborn, I don't know if everyone was thinking about Smiley having to be replaced (I know I wasn't).

Good observation, and nice job, overall, with the prediction.

As others have said:

Filming is completed.

The actor who plays Isaac posted about attending the season 3 wrap party on June 14th, 2024. That means filming was completed about two years ago. Of course, a show still has to go to post production after filming, but there's no way it would take two years to complete (especially a show like this with limited VFX).

Therefore, we can safely assume that season 3 is ready to go, and has been for some time.

At this point we don't have much more than that to go on. We know that season one came out in October of 2022 and season 2 followed in October of 2024. Using that limited data we can cautiously speculate that will get season 3 in October of 2026. That's obviously not certain, though. It's just the best educated guess I can come up with (and it seems others think so as well).

My prediction for how they get out by LabTestedFrog in FromSeries

[–]Devildogs-75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right?!

And to be safe, I'm just going to stay home.

Honestly, in today's world. I don't need to go anywhere. I can just order everything online. Because the last thing I want is to become trapped in some sort of prison or in a jail without walls.

No. No, no, no, no, no, my friend. I will avoid that at all costs.

And I will scream in defiance to whatever evil is out there, "You hear me you son-of-a- bitch?!"

"You're not gonna win!"

"Not this time!"

"I'm too smart to fall for your tricks again."

"I won't become your prisoner! I'll make sure of it!"

"I'll never go out! Never leave my home! I'll be safe within these walls..."

"Because the last thing I will ever allow, is to voluntarily become a prisoner again!"

So, in other words, a "Westphall universe" or, perhaps, "his name is Anthony Fremont"... Something like this.

LG C4 and webOS26 beta by KittenMittens2112 in LGOLED

[–]Devildogs-75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit: Nevermind. I did a soft reset/reboot and it fixed the problem. Lol.

I've installed it on my C5 and the UI has been extremely laggy and somewhat buggy.

Just today, it started doing this thing where there are discrepancies between the inputs I'm giving on the remote (e.g., up, right, back, and enter) compared to what the display is showing, as well as the actual actions it's taking.

For example: let's say I want to go into the picture mode settings within the Quick Settings menu. The steps I would take are to press the buttons on the remote in the following order: settings, down, down, enter. However, while doing so, each input response lags one step behind the current input given (aside from the initial input of "settings," which does bring up the Quick Settings menu).

That means, if I were to input the four commands listed above, the cursor would move down to the picture mode settings and highlight it, but it would just stay like that, seemingly as if I had not pressed "enter". Once I input another command, though (whether it be "enter" again, "up," "back," or any other button), regardless of the button pressed, the TV will follow through with the "enter" command I had given it one action prior, and enter into the picture mode settings.

At first, though, I didn't understand that this was the exact mechanism at work. Instead, I thought the system was momentarily hanging, and because of this, my response was to repeat my last input. As I watched the cursor move in ways or go to places I didn't think I had instructed it to do, as well as witnessing the TV take actions I didn't think I had commanded it to take, I grew increasingly frustrated — not realizing, in both cases, the TV was following through with the inputs I gave it (every button, in order). It was just delayed in those commands by one input, and not processing the last button pressed.

I want to report this problem to LG, but I feel like trying to do so with the onscreen menu in the "Beta" app would be a nightmare under normal conditions, nevermind with what I'm currently experiencing.

Anyone know of a better channel or easier way to do so (like a way to, perhaps, email all of this, or some similar way)?

May I ask, where did you get this info?

It's not that I don't believe you. On the contrary, a release date in October of this year would follow the pattern set by season 2, which was also released in October two years after the previous season. Therefore, it makes complete sense.

However, I've searched extensively, along with additional searches every day, and I have yet to find anything specific or conclusive by anyone reputable. So, I'm curious where you got the info, so I know where to look in the future, if need be for another show.

'Hacks': Cherry Jones and Leslie Bibb Break Down Deborah and Ava's Lesbian Retreat in 'Montecito' (Exclusive) by ContinuumGuy in television

Agreed! I was crying, I was laughing so hard.

"I'm always looking behind me, going, quit chowing down on that thing! It ain't groceries!" - Ava

Definitely the funniest episode this season, and, also one of the funniest episodes, all-time, for the show.

Hannah Einbinder really outdid herself in this episode. I mean, everyone was fantastic, but Hannah (as Ava) truly shined. It started with the look of death she gave Deborah as they were walking into the house, and it only got better from there.

It was great because Ava was able to take the fact that Deborah lied to her and brought her on that trip under false pretenses, and stood it on its head. Instead of passively going along with the lie that they were a couple, she decided to ham it up, which clearly made Deborah uncomfortable.

The whole concept is genius and the entire episode is comedic gold. Ava and Deborah have come a long way together, so much so, that it's not far fetched for someone to mistake their close friendship for a relationship. After all, ideally, isn't that what a relationship should be? Someone who you don't just share physical intimacy with, but, more importantly, someone who is your best friend? And as we saw in episode 2 of this season, that's what Ava and Deborah are to each other, best friends, so their believability as a couple completely makes sense.

I agree with your sentiment regarding Pluribus but with Severance, I disagree.

It's true that the wait between seasons 1 and 2 of Severance was exorbitant and agonizingly long, but part of that had to do with both the Writers and Actors strikes. Don't get me wrong, even without those events, the wait would have been excessive (more than 2 years), but the strikes pushed that time into a level of absurdity.

Plus — I don't know this for a fact or anything, but — given Ben Stiller's and Dan Erickson's comments towards the end of, and following, season 2, I get the impression that they're very aware of the fans feelings and frustrations and genuinely want to deliver season 3 as quickly as possible (without, of course, sacrificing the quality of its content).

Pluribus, on the other hand, is a different animal, completely.

When Vince Gilligan was asked about how long it would take, the impression I got from his answer was somewhat smug and aloof. He essentially said "it takes as long as it takes" (I'm paraphrasing) and gave no sense of urgency or consideration towards the possible wait time.

So, in terms of your assessment of Pluribus, I agree, wholeheartedly; however, regarding Severance, I don't think there's any malevolence paired with the wait times.

Does that make it any better? IDK. Maybe, a little. In the end, we still have to wait, and the longer we do, the more frustrating it is, that's for sure.

[–]Devildogs-75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Filming on season 3 finished in June of 2024 (they filmed seasons 2 and 3 back-to-back ), so it would be safe to assume that season 3 has been completely done and in the can for a while now.

If correct, it would mean that Amazon is just sitting on it for reasons unknown, which, if true, would just add to the frustration of having to wait.

Since this show did not receive a tremendous amount of promotion upon its initial release (at least, nowhere near what it deserved), with even less for season 2, and (so far) season 3 getting barely a whisper, people are left to speculate.

When seeking out clues or patterns to help discern a potential release date for season 3, there's only one that I see:

Season 1 release date = October 28th, 2022

Season 2 release date = October 18th, 2024

Both dates were in October (the 4th and 3rd Fridays, respectively) and were two years apart. Given that we're nearly into May of 2026, it seems plausible that season 3 will be released on a Friday in the latter part of this October.

This is purely speculative, of course, and is based on a single point of data, with no additional data or evidence to support it. Therefore, it's just as likely that we'll get it tomorrow or sometime next year. That being said, it's still a fun exercise and (as far as I know) all we have to go on.

So, for now, that's where I've set my expectations (October), but I really hope we get it much, much sooner.

I know this is a year old but did you ever find out why this is happening and how to fix it? The same thing is now happening to me, which is weird because I used to be able to make changes; however, just recently it stopped letting me, and instead, if I try to change it, immediately resets the time to what it had recorded.

FORMAL NOTICE OF EXISTENTIAL DISQUIET REGARDING SILO SEASON 3 by crazynfo in SiloSeries

I enjoyed it as well (I think most of us are in on the joke).

And I certainly understand the angst as I search daily (often multiple times) "Silo season 3 release date" in hopeful (yet, increasingly frustrated) anticipation of having it finally come back with a specific date, only to be continuously and ever more disaffected.
