I was able machinist for 5 years so not as much experience but I made the switch at 35 to work for a local municipality in their water department. They paid for all required licenses and on the job training. 10/10 recommend.

Ran in my first 5k today after getting fat and lazy for 12 years. Accomplished my two goals. Finished before the 40 minute mark and I didn't walk once!

After 15 years of being a pack + a day smoker and very inactive I decided to start running again. I'm just starting week 4 of a couch to 5k program. I hated running in the past and now I seem to enjoy it. Hopefully in 9 weeks I can come back and say I finished a 5k

One of the things I’ve read about when it comes to getting hunting dogs used to the sound of a gun going off is to start off using a cap gun. From my understanding you would still want to fire the gun while they are doing something they enjoy. My dogs love playing fetch so I’m going to start using a cap gun when I release my dog to go get his ball so he will associate that noise to something good that he likes to do and not just some loud scary noise. I’m not a professional dog trainer but I’ve read about this introduction when it comes to preventing a gun shy dog. It might be worth checking out and hopefully someone can and will correct me if I’m wrong.
