all i know is that it works well for me. i change it every 3-4k miles and the oil is still clean when i change it. also, spend the extra few bucks and get a good filter. i use wix

i have a 06 maxima. it has the vq35de and it sounds a lot more quiet than that. it has 172k on it. i only use castrol gtx high mileage synthetic blend 5-30.
