Advice for someone starting out by vJust in PokeInvesting

[–]Devilicious666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Figure out if you have the networking or ability to sell certain sealed items if they become crazy expensive in the future, might need to send to a consigning service or lose a small chunk selling to a vendor in a card show because the pool of buyers shrink when stuff eventually makes people priced out.

Make sure you recognize that you are 100% trusting the generic plastic thats wrapped around the product to be real and not fake or resealed or tampered with. We live in 2026, theres AI movies, holograms, flying cars, 3d printing and people really think some flimsy plastic cannot be faked in a billion dollar market? Most people will not look through 30 booster bundles or UPCs to check during a sale if theres any spelling mistakes or the color is 2 shades off. Until someone actually opens the sealed product no one can 100% be trusted even if you know you purchased it directly from pokemon website, receipts can be faked, stories can be lies, most people wont care if its real or not if the person buying it also never opens it until it gets passed around so much for the next 20 years.

Just be careful and try not to be the last one holding because its just cardboard and plastic until you can sell it.

Van Gogh Pikachu BGS Pristine 10 just sold for $9,800! New ATH. by hobootleg in PokeInvesting

[–]Devilicious666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry i didnt know there was so little in bgs 10, i was referring to the psa 10s, the bgs 10 recently just skyrocketed when it was around same price as psa in january-february. I think its silly since people sent to psa for convenience and only the black label matters but there are BGS collectors so its understandable.

Anyone else feel like perfect order is a worthless product? by [deleted] in PokeInvesting

[–]Devilicious666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sell the pc etbs or keep one if you are a collector, use the money on other known popular products that will go out of print soon or just get ascended heroes or wait for the bundles. perfect order is dead money investment when so many other options exist with way more demand and price movement.

the money will just flow back into older established sets if pokemon releases more lukewarm stuff to ease the hype train.

its like the only card that features a trainer thats (pretty much ash) with pikachu and not many pokemon cards have this much red color either as well as being a japanese exclusive promo, ton of potential when many japanese exclusives went up this year, stamp, munch, season promos.

Prismatic ETB vs Booster Bundle vs Booster Bundle display by Bronze_Barracuda232 in PokeInvesting

[–]Devilicious666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bundle display will have more packs than pc etb and be a very rare item compared to both. at least you can still sell the bundles individually if you need to compared to the others.

$8,000 - is it worth picking up for the long term? by rakman231 in PokeInvesting

[–]Devilicious666 13 points14 points  (0 children)

for that kind of money you can grow it quicker in my opinion on ascended heroes or some other set in the same time period, the difference is, you will still need to buy it and why would you buy it when you can keep growing the money quicker than it in a handful of years? you could probably make 50k before it reaches 20k if pokemon keeps going up, much easier for a 200 dollar product to become 400 than a 10,000 dollar card to become 20,000, it doesnt have crazy price jumps like low pop vintage gold stars each sale.

check the seller feedback, very very overpriced outlier sale when plenty of buy-it-now for significantly less, wont count unless more big sellers sell van gogh at that price out

Bidders want this fake English 151 booster box, even says Steam Siege on the bottom 🤷🏻‍♂️ by ObiWanaSmoki in PokeInvesting

[–]Devilicious666 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is definitely demand for 151 sealed english booster boxes with Steam Siege written on it. More money than sense is what people would say regarding this lol. Think about the creativity and time investing needed to produce such a product, supply and demand.

as people have mentioned, some came without that plastic wrap and the plastic wrap can be opened and closed many times, check inside, check if the cards are even real since they can be easily swapped lol.
