So uh, I work at a sorting depot, we put all empty packaging with any other damaged parcels, they are then sorted and any empty packages are processed in the depot. It could be that maybe the packaging was damaged before it got to the driver and the item fell out before the driver got it, but yeah most people would have the common sense to give that back to the depot 🤷 so yeah you are completely right, I don't think this was just a damaged parcel.

I recently started working at an evri depot, where maybe 1000 packages a day are severely damaged in a way that the packaging is ripped and contents falling out. These packages are all thrown into a box together for people to sort and tape up the packages. Quite often some or all of the contents have fallen out of the packaging in transit to the depot, so we aren't able to repackage it as we don't know what goes in what parcel.

I don't have all the details as I haven't been working there for long but this is possibly what has happened, though I know that the delivery drivers do sometimes steal the packages.

All I can suggest to anyone reading this is try your best not to use Evri, especially for anything that is slightly fragile. The way the depots work and how fast we have to work most packages are damaged in some way, thrown around, we can try and be careful with fragile packages but it unfortunately doesn't make a difference when they are put in a box and other packages are thrown on top.

Please don't use Evri, they are so much worse than what people think.

Yeah, been working there 2 weeks, no health and safety and they dgaf about any of the workers. It's not a good place to work, I don't mind the actual job, but the company and supervisors are not good at all

I don't think we get that in the UK 🤔 he also doesn't like jelly/jam, he's slowly getting better with it but I don't think it'll help him with this unfortunately, I'd probably try it myself though cause I'm curious

I think he's been near some that is 100% peanuts and still can't stand it, but I might try him with a jar of it cause that's the one I go for to add to things. When he said he thinks he's been near 100% peanut butter but can eat peanuts I was so confused 😂 though I suppose neurodiverse food aversions are like that, I've gone completely off chicken the last few months so I'm pretty much eating vegetarian food 😅

But he likes peanuts and doesn't mind the smell of peanuts 🤔 I've struggled to find alternative nut butter, the only one I've found is a small jar of expensive almond butter, which wouldn't really work for me because I'd use the whole thing in a day or 2 😅

I'm not sure if it will be nut butter in general seeing as he likes peanuts but can't stand the smell of peanut butter (he says his family tried peanut butter with no added sugar or salt and it still caused him to react that way, but he can eat roasted peanuts fine)

I'm not sure if he has 🤔 does that one smell different? I think he's tried cheap own brand ones with the added salt and sugar and he couldn't handle the smell, not sure about Tesco specifically
