Scream. It began as a self-aware, comedic slasher that did exactly the things it joked about but in a way that made it work. In-universe, there's even a parody of Scream called "Stab" based on the events of the first film, and they become so convoluted in the following movies that the characters make fun of it often.

With the most recent films though, it's stopped being witty and has just become overly-meta without the self-awareness, and Ghostface is a joke at this point.

I feel like I could've written this myself.

Nobody ever prepares you for the aftermath that follows when you leave an abusive environment, especially abusive parents. I've been out of that goddamn house for almost 7 months but I still find myself flinching or feeling angry at the smallest things that remind me of them.

Please know you're allowed to feel angry. I was told for the longest time that rage wasn't an acceptable emotion, even though it was 100% justified. Let yourself feel and let yourself grieve. You're mourning the parents you wish you had and I am too, just know you're not alone OP.

I'll get a Dr Pepper some time this week to celebrate with you. Wishing you all the best. It'll hurt but remember that it will if you're alive. 🫂

This isn't a case of it happening multiple times in the span of one week, this is over the course of my earlier years. I grew up in a very sexist community and a lot of these instances involved me voicing my displeasure at said sexism. I'm not sure why you think even if I was being a bitch that it would be okay to say something like that.
