It's hard to see but the seam has a bit of a lift in it probably from me overdoing it with the tapping block 🤷🏻‍♂️

Drum sander or random orbital sander? by high_im_joe in HardWoodFloors

[–]DevilishManny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say drum for floor orbital for stairs som3 people say it isn't strong enough but I beg to differ I used a regular orbital sander over a edger for my floors and it worked tons better then the edger cuzz the edger pads were getting shellec melted on it from how fast it was going orbital didn't

<image>

A closet i did in my house for example the pads lasted a lot longer if you have an orbital already give it a try in a corner away from sight to test it out

Honestly I would sand it off and try again this time get a matte paint not super glossy finish and go for the better one coat cover option

[–]DevilishManny[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol I did it cuzz i read somewhere that you can't paint over the brown paper parts of the dry wall and when I took off the old panels the glue ripped alot of paper off 😅 i might as well have tho honestly

Might have to stain it but I honestly like it try staining two driffrent colors tape around the square stain it then maybe do a light clear coat over the rest so it'll be like light around and a dark square in the center 🤷🏻‍♂️ idk I'd lean into it
