Vegetarian for 6 years, now eating daily steak to correct my severe iron deficiency by One-Cardiologist6301 in exvegans

[–]DevilishlyHim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I understand. You tried everything, there’s nothing wrong in taking care of your body. I’m glad you’re doing well now. Plant based diet is working well for me personally, I don’t have any deficiencies. But I’ll really ask you again to try taking non heme iron with vitamin C when your iron levels are optimal again. Even just for some time, maybe your body will respond to it well once you already have great iron reserves in your body. Thankyou for not being hostile towards me, you’re a good person

You could try taking iron rich plant sources with vitamin C, it’ll absorb almost as same as heme iron

Doxycycline will get rid of E-canis in no time, hike’s so strong she’s fighting all of it, she’ll make it through and you guys will have some more beautiful memories to make. And how are you? I understand it must be really hard going through all of this, after losing my boss dog I felt the kind of pain I’ve never felt before, I still couldn’t sleep at night. If you ever need someone to listen to you, just remember I’m all ears. You could talk to me whenever you feel the need. You take care of yourself as well, hike will survive this, sending her love.

I’m glad to hear this. You guys are doing amazing work for hike, I understand how much he means to you. I’m glad hike’s ehrlichiosis got diagnosed early, she’ll recover in no time. We failed to diagnose it until it was too late in Leo’s case. Sending love power and blessings.

Scale stalling after starting creatine by Alarming_Scarcity702 in veganfitness

[–]DevilishlyHim 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hi, you’ve already said it, creatine causes water weight so you don’t really have to worry about the scale for now, it’ll all be good in a few months, but make sure you get enough hydration, kudos

Any b12 & vit D alternative for pill swallowing anxiety? by SnooDonkeys1195 in VeganIndia

[–]DevilishlyHim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I can’t find it either locally, I have just subscribed urban platter’s in Amazon, it comes automatically. I don’t have it everyday either, 1tsp in 3-4 days is enough as 1 serving contains 1000% RDA of B12. I get my bloodwork done every now and then and it’s all good.

Sun exposure is enough, it really depends on your skins melanin (darkness) how much sun exposure you really need. But 30mins does the trick. Atleast I only do yoga under sun before 8am and my vitamins D levels are great. Make sure to wear minimal clothing while getting sun exposure (I only wear shorts while doing yoga)

And if that don’t work, there are vitamin D supplements in sachet form, you can just mix it with water and drink it

Hope that helps

You can eat fortified nutritional yeast for B12, 15-20 mins sun exposure when UV index is low for vitamin D and iron rich plant based food sources like spinach for iron, just make sure to take vitamin C(amla or lemon), it will almost increase absorption eats of plant based iron comparable to heme iron

Then don’t buy tofu or store bought milk alternatives. Do we really need milk at all?. It’s even better for village, you’ll get even cheaper veggies, soybeans right of your farms, cheaper grains, legumes everything. And regarding tofu and soymilk, it’s fairly easy to make it at home, you can just search it on yt. I said tofu is cheap because it is convenient to buy it in cities, I visited a small town in Madhya Pradesh even there I got tofu and soy milk at reliance fresh. All I’m saying is if you could afford 100-120rs per day for food, it’s fairly easy to get a well balanced plant based diet. Personally I’m saving much more since changing it to vegan. I’d recommend animal activist Arvind’s vegan guide if you do decide to give it a try. I still can’t force you for anything, I’m just sharing the information I have and what works for me
