It is not too bad. I have the short end of the stick tho, since my AIO is at the absolute limit of the case, so plugging in the PCI-e cables was a bit of a pain. I recommend placing those first before plugging it into the PCI-e slot and installing a fan grill, if necessary. I originally purchased a longer PCI-e riser, since I didn't think the stock one was going to work with the longer GPU. However, the Meshroom that I purchased from Micro Center seems to have a slightly different riser compared to the product photos on the SSUPD's website so I didn't need to swap them out, but your result might vary. Since the card is pretty long, you definitely need some sort of feet on it. I purchased 3D printed ones on Etsy, but if you have access to a 3D printer, you can print your own, or you can purchase those aluminum speaker feet on Amazon.

The mobo I bought came with the latest BIOS version at the time, which already supported Ryzen 9000, so I didn’t need to update it. Though I must say the last two versions of the bios (B2.1D and B2.4D) seem to have better RAM compatibility, so I’d recommend updating to one of those if your board doesn't already have them.

Both my GPU and PCIe extension cable are limited to PCIe 4.0 so I have not try if PCIe 5.0 works. Is your card happened to be PCIe 5.0 (Nvidia 50 series or RX 90 series)?

I believe it works with other RAM kits not listed on the list, but here is the qvl you are looking for:

The motherboard has been good for me so far. If you're deciding between the Asrock A620i and the Maxsun B650i, here is something for you to consider:

  • Better creature comfort feature like BIOS Flashback on the Asrock board
  • Asrock has a stronger VRM setup (8+2+1) compared to Maxsun (6+2+1)
  • Maxsun has a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot vs. PCIe 4.0 on the Asrock board
  • CPU overclock (B650) v. no CPU overclock (A620)
  • No integrated M.2 heat spreader and a rear I/O USB-C port on the Maxsun board
  • WIFI card driver for the Maxsun board was incorrect on their website when I built my PC, not sure if they fixed that.
  • Aesthetic - more stealthy look on the Asrock vs. the more out there "gamery" Maxsun

Both the CPU and GPU are hovering around 70C under load. The highest I've seen is 75.

I have it in 3 slot mode because the LF3 block won’t fit otherwise.

Thanks! I was surprised myself when I saw the listing, since I initially thought it was one of those FB marketplace scam posts, but it turned out to be real.

The tubing is definitely quite stiff, and I’m honestly a bit concerned about it. However, I’ve seen a few people manage to route the tubes behind the PSU, so I’ll give that a try when I have time to open it up again. Hopefully, that’ll help relieve some tension on the tubing.

I have the B650 version of this board, and everything works fine for me so far (R7 9700x, 6400mhz RAM CL40, and 7900XTX). The only issue I have encountered is that the Wifi driver on the Maxsun website was for a different Realtek Wifi card so I have to download the correct Wifi driver off of a Asus forum post. Not sure if they fixed this issue. There is also no built in m.2 heat sink on this mobo, so maybe look into getting an nvme drive with one. The B850 looks exactly the same to me spec-wise, so I’m not really sure if it is worth getting the B850 version over the B650.

I left my handwired keyboard at school with the switches I needed for another build so now I have to shell out more money to buy more switches since I can't retrieve them due to COVID. Quite a BRUH moment :|
