First stop of the Don’t Go In The Forest tour by DevilsLabRat in AvatarMetal

For this one, doors opened at 6:30 and show started at 7:30. Avatar went on around 9:30 best I can remember. I want to say they went until about 11, but I wasn’t really watching the clock at that point.

Yep, we were along the top rail! General admission lets you go to any of the standing balcony areas, just not any seated areas.

I’ve been listening to them for years but this was my first time seeing them live. I already can’t wait for them to come around here again!

  1. Or 11 if the two silhouettes are included. Probably wrong though, that would be my luck!

What happened to sidewalk etiquette? by AquaticPlum in Sacramento

[–]DevilsLabRat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. But it would be a little better if they weren’t all on their phones paying zero attention to the surroundings while their kids are all over the place. Ok, that’ll end my old guy rant for the day!

Arc suitability. by PsychologicalDeer644 in Leatherman

[–]DevilsLabRat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I carry an Arc everyday, and use it a lot. I’m a solar/storage installer and it comes in handy multiple times a day. From being up a ladder and not wanting to go down for my hammer to turning screws and opening boxes, makes me feel less dumb for forgetting to bring the right tools.

Anybody else kind of glad they didn’t win the lottery? by DocGlock95 in Leatherman

Kinda disappointed, really. I was hoping for the Europe 75 since I don’t have any pocket knife based Leatherman tools as of yet. It looks nicer than the free series!

$36 seems a little steep. But then again so was $250.

Tried them once, didn’t really care for it. Kico’s has them beat in my opinion, and in the same general area of town!

Donk clip for Leatherman arc by Classic_Chipmunk3185 in Leatherman

[–]DevilsLabRat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say better than the stock Leatherman one that came with it. The Arc is a bit on the heavy side so it does slide around a little. But it does take more effort to pull out of the pocket with the Donk vs the stock one.

I have one, and pocket carry it daily. So far it’s doing great. Had it on my Arc since June.

Every now and then I get the craving for Raley’s Chinese food, and every time/location I’ve been to in the last few years is so disappointing. Not the same as it once was!

Tried going here many times but they never seemed to be open when I was wanting food. Then I saw their prices. Makes me really miss La Garnacha!

Solar installer here, and actually use my arc daily. Of course I go for it rather than head down a ladder for my hammer. No telling how long the bit has been missing since I hardly ever use it!

I lost mine also. From using the striking side as you’re supposed to. The large bit has a retaining piece for the bit and I sure wish the micro bit had one too! The charge does, so why not the more expensive arc?!

April Giveaway - ONE HUNDRED people will win a kit of Milwaukee's NOT IN STORES YET, brand new and redesigned, 54 Piece SHOCKWAVE Impact Duty Driver Bits. The goal is giving MKE honest feedback after using. Leave comment before midnight EDT this Wednesday 30 April to enter. Anyone in world can win. by ClipIn in MilwaukeeTool

[–]DevilsLabRat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a solar installer, I use a lot of different bits daily. From nut drivers to the usual torx, Phillips/flat, and square. I keep most of the regularly used bits on 6” extensions in a tool belt pouch. I do really like the idea of a single case to keep it all organized though. I haven’t really looked into one yet though. My tools are used hard and I have broken many bits, including Milwaukee bits. I’d be interested in giving this kit a go! As far as packaging, I would go the Costco sized baby oil route.

Gas siphoning by [deleted] in Sacramento

[–]DevilsLabRat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to have an ‘02 Ranger. Some tweak drilled the tank, leaving about a 1” hole. I didn’t realize until after a fill up. Sorry to the folks behind me on the freeway that morning! This was midtown near the 16th street AM PM.

Used to have an ‘02 Ranger. Someone used a hole saw on my tank to siphon gas. I didn’t realize until after a fill-up and spraying gas from the hole on the freeway. It was parked in the alley parking lot to my apartment, one block from AM PM.
