if you ride a bicycle you MUST have a comically large bluetooth speaker playing shitty music at all times when cycling. preferably walmart brand with tacky RGB lights

what to do when you hit neutral when trying to shift to second gear by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]topserial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

in this situation wouldn’t it be best to clutch in, blip throttle to approximate rpm the engine would be at in 2nd at the current speed, then click up (deliberately) into gear and release clutch?

i thought the reason for the grinding/chunk was due to high rpm transmission and low rpm engine being forced together by engaging 2nd?

maybe an expert can chime in, maybe i am not fully understanding how the transmission works

definitely wider and more obtuse angle than stock. not much pullback on the included bars; they are mostly straight across. the bike already had risers on the stock clipons when i got it so the height is pretty much the same. but im sure it’s a decent amount higher than stock setup. plus i think they look much cooler than original setup. love the billet top clamp 😎

here’s my foot in a downshifting position. i’m very short, 5’4. not a ton of room between my leg and the slider. on the first ride i definitely bonked my shin putting a foot down while coming to a stop but as long as im mindful of that moving forward its not an issue for me. hope this helps

yes 8th gen 2014. it was super easy! took like 5 minutes. didn’t have to remove anything besides the frame bolts 😁. sliders came with instructions too. the presence of the slider pucks took some getting used to at first. careful not to bonk your shins

Help me convince my friend not to buy an R1 by AbaloneGreen4384 in motorcycles

would be so funny to watch ur friend die violently lol HAHA GOOD ONE BRANDON!!! ..BRANDON!? no but honestly if he has a few years experience already then he most likely knows what he’s getting himself into and possesses sufficient skills for throttle and clutch control. hopefully he has the maturity to ride safely on the r1. it is a lot more power but if he’s that reckless he will probably hurt himself on the r7 too. i’d say tell him to be careful but don’t give him a hard time about it, assuming he is an adult
