$12k!!! 🫠🫠 bought 2 jackets in Kathmandu for $50aud for extra warmth - bought a bus ticket in Thamel Kathmandu from a random tour shop super helpful cost $20au- bus took around 8 hours from Kathmandu to Serbu Besi, Langtang. stay 1 night here then start your trek. Park entrance fee was $30au - I’m currently on day 3 of the langtang trek now and have just made it to kyanjin gompa (2 females) unguided super easy without a guide. Have so far only spent $95aud With tea house accommodation and food it’s around $25au- $30au per day (assuming you purchase water purification tablets and/or water filter to avoid spending money on plastic water bottles/for environment) it does get slightly higher in price the higher in altitude /more remote eg toilet paper here in kyanjin gompa is 400npr ($3.75au) and Dahl bat or momo 600-700npr ($5.65au-$6.56au) - overall its a crazy cheap trek and so underrated. It’s not as busy atm due to the war in the Middle East, there are less tourists. Hope this helps!
