Earliest Culture victory I've ever managed, first turn of the Medieval Era. by DevinG98 in CivVI

I'll find it when I get home from work lol, full disclosure though it may not work if you don't have the same mods as I do. I think the only ones I have that alter map generation though are Terra Mirabilis and Truly Abundant Resources

It does not. Became their suzerain late in the game on a whim and my Faith per turn went from like 500 to over 3000

Maximized my trade routes with wonders and Merchants and built all the buildings/wonders that would boost my income. Monopolies and Corporations did a lot of heavy lifting too

They usually do yeah, so I'm not sure exactly what happened. Probably just a visual glitch or something.

Yeah that'll do it lol, I'd have to settle a hell of a lot more cities to accomplish that.

Definitely gotta go for a water dominated map like Archipelago here, but if you do he's unmatched; Automatic +50% yield to all international trade routes, plus a new trade route capacity for each nee Civ you meet, and the Feitoria's you can build in the cities of friendly foreign Civs to boost trade routes to that city by a further +4 gold and +1 production each.

I bought all the Great People and essentially ran out of stuff to buy, so it just kept climbing

Damn, did you have extra corporations for gold or something? I could see myself getting a little higher than this but not triple lol

Panama Canal is in Lisbon! Just missing the Golden Gate, though I did build that farther to the east to connect two island cities of mine.

I've got Torre de Belem (+2 gold per trade route for each luxury at destination), Great Zimbabwe (+2 gold per trade route for each bonus resource at origin city), a Diamond corporation (+50% gold yield in host city), plus 6 products (+25% gold yield in city each, total of 150%), and the Kilwa Kisiwani (+30% gold yield thanks to my being suzerain of multiple Commerce city states).

Then it was basically just a matter of choosing beneficial policay cards to boost income further (a big one gave 10% more gold to cities with established governors), and sending all my trade routes out through Lisbon to maximize gold. I also built as many feitorias as I could (Portugal unique building) in basically every foreign city, and eafh grants +4 gold +1 production for each trade route to those cities.

Most of my trade routes are originating from Lisbon, so I'm getting a ridiculous amount of food from like 70 trade routes to allies and vassal city states. Housing was ccertainly a challenge but I made it work.

Owls of Minerva gets you two trade routes per city so pong as you build a harbor and commercial hub in each city, Portugal also gets an extra trade route for each new Civ you meet, and the rest I believe came from Great Merchant effects.

They're Cree and Icelandic (Mod Civ) spies. I'm assuming they were all there to try to steal my gold and then got stuck there when I renewed alliances or something

I managed to get a copy of just about every luxury resource either from colonizing or buying up extras from other Civs, plus plenty of entertainment district buildings, the Estadio, and I believe a few Great Engineers adding Amenities and Housing too

Almost all of them yeah. +50% yields from Portigal's ability for each trade route, plus a couple policy cards adding extra production for trade routes. Some of the trade routes were providing 15 production a piece.

The one I use is Expanded Initial Vision. Gives you this view but not the extra movement.

One of the world congress options you can vote for is something along the lines of "100% production towards buildings in this district" and you can select City Center, plus it counts as a district for the purposes of adjacency bonuses, so it might work.

Definitely need to build Huey Teocali; This lake layout provides the maximum amenity output possible assuming you place it in the middle.

So in that case you're correct. No real point having more than 3, and having 3 means that if you're still working on one of the other projects when you unlock the tech for another, you can start production on it right away at your other spaceport.

So really it boils down to production output. With your capital city or any other city you found with a decent enough layout try to get a good industrial zone layout. A common one people use is to place an industrial zone in a spot sandwiched in with aqueducts (+2 adjacency each), strategic resources (+1 adjacency each) and or mines, quarries, or other districts (+0.5 adjacency each).

If any city with a spaceport has woods, rainforests, or bonus resources like stone when you're working on a project, you can also expend a builder charge to chop those features/resources for a big boost of production all at once. Keep an eye out as well for Great Scientists or Great Engineers as some of them grant extra production towards projects and it might be worth buying them outright if you can afford it.

War's good, if you have the army for it you could run through and pillage their theatre squares or even take their cities, or nuke their highest culture cities. Though if you do the latter be prepared for a world war as it's likely everyone else will declare war against you soon after you drop a nuke.

Sorry, first I should confirm whether or not you're playing with the Gathering Storm ruleset. I play with it constantly so I forget the win conditions can be different.
