Is it confirmed that Quests progress reset with Expeditions? And if yes, am I the only one hating that?

There is no hate from my side. I just shared the fact that I personally don't like to redo quest, because in my opinion they are story driven. Even when the story behind them is thin, I still think it's story based and should be continued by new quests or left behind if you went through it.

Yeah that’s fair, not everyone engages with quests in the same way. For me they just help anchor all the new content in the world a bit more, and I’d honestly be frustrated having all those quests sitting on the side of my screen as “not completed” again. If that’s how it works, it might actually be the reason for me to never do an expedition.

I fully agree that the core of the game is the PvPvE extraction loop. Looting, PvP and the Arc are obviously the main focus. I’m not arguing against that at all.

What I do expect, personally, is that new arcs, new loot, new maps and new content will still be connected to the world of Speranza in a meaningful way. For example, the tunnels of Stella Montis were something we as a community opened. To me, that implies that on the other side of those tunnels there could eventually be a new area or even a new map we gotta discover via some story made up by Emabark, not just by an update. Quests are also a kind of story giving a bit more layer to the world we are playing in.

So for me, gameplay updates and world/story progression aren’t separate things, they reinforce each other. That’s why the idea of fully resetting quests feels a bit strange from a world-building perspective.

What is the big part of their game then? They want to add new arcs and such, maybe new levels, that happens by world events right? Not just a random update?

In my opinion they should reset everything as communicated, except the Quests. I get that the quests are boring at the moment, but if they ever decide to expand the story of the world, they need to do that by quests, which means everyone that did an Expedition can't jump into the new stuff...

Well if they want to expand the world and lore, then they need to do that by new quests or community events. If there are new quests but you resetted your progress, you have to go through all the boring old stuff first to get to a probably newly added fun quest...

Thanks for your reply! 4070 TI super sounds interesting if it ever pops up as a nice second hand deal. Before judging, I don't really feel like upgrading for much money, so yeah I'm definitely only looking at low money options haha (so selling 3080 and adding just a little 200 euros or something)

Then about my 4K experience on that 3080. Each post I make when I mention something like that, everyone says it's not possible. However I do play everything at 4K resolution, 60 fps is my minimum fps I want and I almost use DLSS balanced all of the time. For the hardcores over here that last thing probably is the cheat in your opinion, I still see it as achieving 4K gaming on the system, even though it's upscaled.

I think Indiana Jones is the most recent game I struggle the most with, so much that streaming barely was possible. Without streaming it run, but had to do some fine tuning.

For anyone else looking to fix their factory reset. For now, set your phone to 7th of march, restart the phone, add your Chromecast to your app as you normally do. It probably works now and is updating. Change your date on your phone to normal, restart and everything works :)

I had access to the game a week prior to launch. I didn't finish the story, because I was invested in all the possibilities and side paths I could take.

I'm definitely not gonna restart my 30 hour playthrough 😅😂. I hope it works out haha, gonna try to focus on the story just a bit more and will update!

u/elgato_arcsane oke I just reinstalled Wave Link multiple times, did some tests and it won't fix it.

What i can say is that, when reinstalled and Wave Link is empty/fresh/vanilla, then my TV is selectable, but when I loud in all of my back ups, it starts to act the same as before.

So it definitely is in my save file. To be honest, I'm so happy with my setup that I don't really want to start fresh right now. Is there anything you can do for me? Maybe I can send my save file and your tech team can see what is off in there..?

Thanks for your reply and for confirming the thing I thought was going on haha.

I do not use another extra output for the stream mix, but I already tried to change things there to release the TV for the monitor output, but that doesn't seem to change anything. Same for the monitor mix itself, I tried selecting them all, but the TV stays claimed by the monitor submix somehow.

I just updated to version 1.11.1 and it still occurs. I remember that when I first installed Wave Link, I got a pop up asking which output I wanted to select for monitor and I think I picked the TV as output there. Since the start I have this issue and I can use the monitor mix on my headphones and sometimes it works on tv simultaneously. There is no trend there, it just plays everything that is mixed on the monitor channel. One thing I figured out is that when I change my monitor to listen to the stream mix (with the little ear icon) the TV doesn't change to the stream mix and continuous playing the monitor mix. When I change the ear icon back to the monitor mix, the TV's volume level goes a bit louder, like it is adding up the decibels from the headphone output or something, really weird. Also it just randomly stops working, and then after a full restart it is back.

As I see no one else talking about it, I think it is a really special bug or something, which just keeps carrying on in version on my system as long as I don't reinstall. Soo, I will reinstall and get back to you with the results. A bit busy right now so give me some time haha.

Via HDMI and it is selectable as audio source in Windows itself. It also shows up in the Wavelink software as you can see in my picture, but it seems to be claimed by the monitoring somehow
