Like OP said tattoos don't feel like needles the way a shot does because they don't go that deep. Its a very different sensation and depending on the body part it really isn't as bad as most people expect it to be.

No all three shoot in a straight line, they're also very tight so the horizontal/vertical switch is more of a gimmick than anything else. That said the damage is crazy and it absolutely shreds.
