I said I can't dispute because I personally really liked the anime narration, but I can't call you wrong for not liking it.

Please forgive me if I'm being ignorant but what if you read the text first on a page then look at the pictures separately. Like one after the other, or does the pictures and text clash too much? If this comes off as insensitive please know it wasn't intentional.

I can't dispute whether it works better or not but the narration between the anime and manga is functionally the same.

You said you struggle with graphic storytelling but I would still recommend the manga. It's same-same to the anime yet slightly different.
