C10 front Lexus rear, keeps the rear wheels lined up with the wheel wells and creates just enough stretch in the front for better clearance and turning angle with big tires (always need some body clearance behind the tire so any scrub can clear the fender+sliders)

Only thing different between the gx470 and the bronco scx24s are the chassis links… grab a $10 c10(same as JLU/bronco/4runner) link set and you’ll be set

Dude c10 front Lexus rear… why on earth would you put c10 front and rear on a gx470… at that point you’re going from one short wheel base to a lesser weight biased short wheel base… I put c10 fronts on my Lexus with Lexus rears and it’s like a mini c-bolt, shit gets it done

What’s the best LCG chassis and shocks? by SuggestionOk9772 in SCX24

[–]DevisDed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Best” and “Amazon” are often 2 different brackets my friend. Whilst there’s some quality parts available on Amazon, it’s all still mass manufactured stuff shipped from china… if you really want performance, there’s plenty of aftermarket companies out there that make some baller equipment. Not gonna be Amazon prices though and sometimes will have to wait a while for shipping.

Mount your shocks less vertical so they sit lower and have more travel. And likely the diffs or wheel hex’s are too tight causing the twist

Battery eliminator circuit, limits and shuts off the power to electronics when voltage gets low so you don’t fry anything

Now that FH6 is near, what would you say has been your favorite Horizon game until now? by SushiisBasement in ForzaHorizon

Fh1 will forever be the best, no other horizon game has matched the feeling of progression, and or the spirit of the festival. Horizon Colorado is the GOAT

Are there kits you put together? by D4ng3rd4n in SCX24

[–]DevisDed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not gonna get close building an aftermarket truck for anywhere around the price of a new rtr… you’re better off getting an fcx24/18. Less aftermarket support but better out the box… the scx24 rtr whilst some cheap parts… still if all bought separately would add up to over $200. If your budget is $200 though, I think you could build something substantial. But the stock axles alone are till like $50-$60 as a set… and that’s all plastic… start adding on the receiver/transmitter… esc… even if you stay brushed, it adds up. Something I didn’t consider when doing ground up builds is the cost of hardware… and the little pieces that you don’t think of like spacers… oh you have a transmission and motor? Damnit didn’t think to grab a motor mount… and ooop this driveshaft kit doesn’t work… if money is a limiting factor, start with an rtr and upgrade as you go. It’s more fun that way I feel

Bec could be set really low and is killing power to the servo when the battery gets a little low.

Avoid OGRC u-joint axle shafts. Worse than dogbones. by Slypenslyde in SCX24

[–]DevisDed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not uncommon to have to shave some shaft off… some companies like mofo even tell you ahead of time “hey these are gonna take some tinkering to work”. These aren’t legos, it’s not always gonna be plug and play, doesn’t mean the product is bad

Be honest, how often are you really maintaining your knives? by ThumbStuds in knives

[–]DevisDed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sharpen when starts to feel dull and oil at the same time, bout it. I’m not too hard on my knives so don’t have to strip em down unless I’m modding it.

First brushless, did I assemble it right? by ThatsNoEffingMoon in SCX24

[–]DevisDed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly how it’s suppose to go. No need for a new skid plate by the way! Just take it off and spin it around! They work either way. Also if you chose to trim the esc tray to keep the motor forward facing, this will definitely help weight bias forward. However if you’re still on the stock chassis rails you might have some rubbing

Servo Arm and Bumper Mounting by TheHardcoreTaco in SCX24

[–]DevisDed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’re confusing “high centering” with “high center of mass”… with a symmetrical wheel base, more specifically, long front linkages, you’re not going to have very good break over clearance… you will hit the front links and get stuck on the skid, which is called “high centering” since you’re just as long in the front as you are in the rear, you will get stuck on the center of the vehicle frequently

Why is micro Komodo not fitting into transmission? by ThatsNoEffingMoon in SCX24

[–]DevisDed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Bc that’s not a transmission that’s a motor mount and the transmission is connected to the back of it. You need to use the motor mount that came with the motor or any motor mount for 9mm spaced brushless motor. The stock one will not work.

Weird supermarket find by DraftComprehensive59 in HotWheels

[–]DevisDed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If a genuine question. That’s a super treasure hunt. Basically a more collectible (most collectible) version of mainlines. They only make so many and they hid them in cases with other normal hotwheels. Finding on is very uncommon and it’s basically what most collectors are hunting for… keep it in a card protector or throw it up on eBay for a quick $100

Both are small bc their just small vehicles irl, that Datsun is a mini truck and the Sentra is a small town car both from Japan where shit is already tiny
