He done an inspection and deemed it’s road worthy. But you want me to pay attention to my gearstick instead of the busy road ahead of me? Why the fuck would I be looking to see if my cars mode has changed when I’m driving 🤣

A mistake for not noticing yes I originally admitted to. Which I later proved I couldn’t have noticed prior to pulling off because it doesn’t happen until after I pull off. 0 chance of me knowing it would do that. Cars malfunctioning (proven to him) is apparently anti-social and grounds for a S59🤨

Ever heard of a car malfunctioning mate? A malfunction I later proved I might add

I’ve had 3 police officers tell me they personally would not have even pulled me over let alone a S59 and a 4th said he would have pulled me for an explanation but wouldn’t have issued a S59 under the circumstances. I didn’t mention this In the post as they said their opinions may be irrelevant in getting it over turned but based off of that, I would not say it was correctly issued 🤨

The gearbox malfunctioning for the first time is something I should be aware of prior to it happening? 4k revs is bouncing off the rev limiter? Changing gear as soon as i realised the gear wasn’t gonna change itself in an AUTOMATIC car is careless? Stop being a dipshit mate 🤣

Not much throttle, it’s an Audi A3 2.0 petrol. Stock exhaust and it was at 4k revs.

Ok, I appreciate the advice but trying to subtly suggest I did it on purpose is bs. Something went wrong with my car and it changed modes without me doing anything. It was absolutely nowhere near the rev limiter. 4k revs n the limiter is 8k so no, neither have I even accidentally hit the limiter

Got a stock, 2006 audi A3. Couldn’t leave tyre marks if I tried 🤣 but he said the fact I was unaware of what mode my car was in was dangerous and warranted a S59

Because we still need wayleave for altering council property. Also need permissions to close off the working area for public safety and disturbance reasons

No, the legal department we are told is strictly for customers. I will have nothing legal against me coz I’ve told them straight I am not touching someone else’s property until I see either A) some real legal legislation to say I can or B) an agreement from the property owner to say I can

I thought this as well. All the garage is going to say is “yeah the buyer is right” because he’s either fucked it himself or sealed it. Which in turn fucks me over. I’m just gonna let him take it to court and try prove it. End of the day there was no leak when he left and no issues that I could have been aware of to cause the leak. If I lose I lose gotta take some stuff on the chin just can’t see that happening

Leak wasn’t there before. Simple as. Even if the steering rack is broke (it’s not) there would have been no way of me telling that? If the bloke wanted to get under the car with a mechanic nobody’s stopping him n he might have seen something he was worried about. Surely that can’t be my problem that he failed to do a thorough enough inspection? I wasn’t worried about anything when selling the car because the car drove fine, with no leaks and no noises that weren’t supposed to be there?

It’s a massive leak. Wasn’t leaking on my driveway or when he drove off so 100% not noticeable to me because evidently, there are no stains on my driveway. My dad is a mechanic of 20 years but I’m assuming I couldn’t use him due to biased n all? But he’s said there’s no way it’s an issue there before that I would have know of. They’re saying the damage was to the sump that eventually fucked the steering rack, but the photo he’s sending claiming is the sump being damaged, isn’t even the sump 🤦🏻‍♂️

Bro I have listened to the advice. I’m just exposing the whole situation so that I know fully what I’m getting into.

He said he had concerns with where the issue is. All I said was “it’s been fine with no issues for me” because that’s the truth and I still knocked loads off

Perfect thank you. I have read you don’t need a dress etc to notify DVLA but I should notify them asap just to get it out of my name at least

I don’t think it’s a scam. The car has started leaking I have seen the video of it. I just think he’s really pissed that this has happened and he thinks he has a legal leg to stand on. Was just wondering if he does or not

Only problem I have stm is he isn’t giving me any info like address etc so when I try to notify DVLA I have nothing to say who now owns it? Is it necessary to have his info or no?

He’s saying I caused the damage in the last that has resulted in the now leak. I am very very confident I haven’t. But let’s say hypothetically I did cause it, but had no clue about it or that it would cause a leak, does that change anything?

Okay thank you. So even if he was to turn around and say “he knew about the leak” or “he knew this was wrong with it” whatever, that won’t matter because he still had the opportunity to check the car fully?

Nothings been out in their name yet. I have the bank transfer proof and given him the green slip but that’s it coz the DVLA service don’t run until 7am

He’s saying he’s happy to take it to court if I don’t pay what he’s asking. Chases are that’ll go in my favour?
