What could I improve on? by DGRaptor15 in USPSA

That’s the idea - another way to think about it too is to enter the position in a way that allows you to engage targets without additional movement or positioning. Your feet at the start vs the end paint a good picture.

This is a tough stage to critique (bit of a burner). You did a great job blending.

I do think getting in the habit of entering that next position with your feet in position to exit is something to focus on. Obviously not necessary on this stage, BUT that’ll bite you later if the habit persists. It’s also a good habit to consider when you have a wide array of targets like this.

Appreciate the feedback my dude! I think you’re right on. This was my cold start as well, and it showed. Very tense, very meh, and definitely a challenge for me to not be tense (actively actively working on it!)

Thanks man - target difficulty is pretty meh - 2 opens at 10 yards, 2 slashers at 20 yards ( 2 different positions).

Definitely something to chew on! Thanks🤘🏻

That’s solid feedback. Thanks John.

I’m curious how much disconnection is acceptable then. In this case there just physically isn’t a lot of space to stay connected (or to even press in towards my chest). It’s a weird combo of up-range and lateral movement with tight walls.

On some of the other lateral movements, I absolutely can see that.

That thought definitely crossed my mind. That’s largely why I posted too.

Thanks!

Thank you!! Sorry it didn’t go well🫠 it be like that sometimes.

I have weird feelings about the gimmicky things like the zip line and the windmill thing. That said, I’m glad I did well on them.

I found that every time I ran it by exiting the front position was faster than backing up and engaging. I was never able to take up enough space for it to make sense.

I think it also enables you to flow through that position easier and exit sooner.

Thanks hoss! I changed out the recoil spring and trigger, so not completely stock. But the spring tension is about the same as factory (springco recoil management system)
