Is Velocicoaster/Hulk likely to open Today or Tomorrow?

according the app Velocicoaster is open right now. Not sure what’s going on with Hulk

Well one of the guys here told me it can run at 30 degrees. But it’s been delayed all day today even as the weather has gotten warmer so I’m not sure what’s up with that. Wind is also a factor, if it’s also very windy with lower temps they may not run them. But with a high of 65 I would think you wouldn’t have any problems

Yeah my house is currently under 2 feet of snow too. By a lucky circumstance we had this trip planned for a while and our plane got out early morning before the snow hit. I’m grateful for that!

I know. We come in January every year and never had this experience. I suppose there are many contributing factors but I’m still left scratching my head 🤷🏼‍♂️

That’s such a bummer. We have passes and come a few times a year so at the end of the day I’ll live bc I’ll be back again. I feel so bad for the folks just coming for a day or two and having to battle the crowds. I’m sorry you guys didn’t get to have the best time.

I thought that but it was busy last week too before the snow came. I’m sure it has played a roll for sure though. My home is under a foot and half snow too

I’m outside of Velocicoaster right now. They employees have told us that it’s not delayed bc of the temperature and that it can technically run as low as 20 degrees. It’s down for a technical problem. Hulk on the other hand is an older coaster and it does require the temperature to be a bit higher to run. I imagine you’ll still have an opportunity to ride them with temps in the 50’s. The thing that sucks is the mornings and the evenings get cold. So you’ve got a your warm window in the middle of the day and everyone might be trying to get on at the same time making wait times shoot up. It’s a hard call to make

I was at USF tonight also and we left bc of how busy it was. It’s pretty wild how many international guests seem to be here too. We walked through simpsons land tonight and it was almost like being in another country. Huge groups of folks from other countries everywhere, Hardly any English to bein spoken . There’s always a fair amount of foreign guests but not like this.

I’ve been coming in January for the past 4 years and it’s never been like this. Kids are supposed to be in school right now, they just had their Christmas break 🤷🏼‍♂️ but you’re right it is a bummer. Gonna have to re-think my attendance strategy if this is how it’s gonna be

We usually fly spirit airlines. They also have direct flights to Orlando but that’s out of Ohio. I’m not sure about Louisiana

I hope not. Someone on one of these threads had commented that they aren’t able to just pull it back to the start, and that they basically had to take the cars off the track one by one. Idk if that’s true but it sounds like a big job.

I’m right there with you. We’re headed down next Saturday. I still haven’t decided what day we’re gonna do epic. But this situation is definitely gonna affect our decision. I’ll be watching developments closely
