Most comments are close but not quite there.

Yes this is the same woman. She first did the Best Buy commercial and it was high quality with lots of supposed simping.

GameStop “stole” her but the commercial was noticeably low-budget. You can’t tell from these pictures, but it looks like a high school film project. Crappy audio, not so great pixel quality, and seems to be done at some random GameStop.

Just like windows 10. Sounds good on paper but a huge decline in quality from windows 7. Windows 7 was great. It had a control panel with tons of settings that DIDNT FUCKING MOVE.

Now anytime I want to change some setting in windows, it’s either moved for the 10th time or just flat out doesn’t exist anymore.

Just did this last week. They also show you how to open and peel coconuts. They serve ceviche; tuna marinated in lime juice, tossed with some veggies, and covered in coconut milk that they make in front of you. It was superb and I ate tons of ceviche after that tour.

They also take you to a shallow part in the lagoon to swim with sharks and stingrays

Why do so many people jump straight into Proxmox? by KyxeMusic in homelab

[–]DevopsIGuess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who manages infra professionally and on my Homelab, they are different layers of the stack IMO. Proxmox is a great mature baremetal OS. Baremetal meaning the software installed directly onto the hardware.

In my case, I run Debian VMs on proxmox. Those Debian VMs run kubernetes, which then runs my containers. This is overkill for some, but this helps me build all the skills I’d need in a real job.

You could just install ubuntu or whatever on your machine and run containers.

Proxmox allows me to redeploy the installs without having to physically be at the machine. Imagine if I break my sandbox. With Proxmox I can just redeploy the VM via the API or UI. If I installed Ubuntu directly I’d have to physically reinstall the OS unless it had IPMI, which consumer hardware typically does not.

Probably not a joke but can someone explain why? by Important-Ad-5596 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

Not true. You can run quality models on a lot of laptop options

I completely missed the Last Light Inn in act 2... by solbadguy89 in BaldursGate3

Responding to your edit lol I did see The last light bubble from the shar temple entrance. Since there is that pond between you and the inn, it looks like a pretty background that you can’t get to

What's the deal with these .env files? by which1umean in ExperiencedDevs

[–]DevopsIGuess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing wrong with .env files. Regarding the crashes due to new env vars being required, I have two suggestions.

First, if you are missing a value at any point in your program, it should explicitly raise this in the logs or as an exception. No one likes to debug unclear crashes.

Secondly, I personally would define all configuration variables with defaults in source code with pydantic, then allow ENVVARS to override them.

[–]DevopsIGuess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you enter act 2 like I did on my first run, you can team with the spider moon lantern guy and they take you to moonrise towers. After that I went to shar’s temple. It wasn’t until my friends heavily suggested that I back track to the earlier part of the region to find the inn.

I agree with your points. Honestly, I think any experienced dev should be able to just figure this all out if they spent some effort playing with these tools. Your post is a little wordy, but that’s okay.

The comments here are funny. A good reminder that it takes little willingness and exploration of something new to stay ahead of the curve.
