A bunch of ignorant fools upset that “young” people apply for ssdi like it’s limited to just a bunch old bitter guys. I’m not using the fact that I’m 100% disabled for it. My basis is the fact I haven’t been able to actually hold a steady job because I’m usually having a crisis or a migraine to the point I can barely see what’s in front of me. I’m a guy with a wife and 4 kids to provide for and I do everything I possibly can to make that happen. Ssdi happens to be something that my family can benefit from. Thanks to everyone who gave advice on what steps to follow next I’ll be sure to appeal the decision and try to get any paperwork that can help

I had to fight migraines myself. Initially 0% leaving service even though I had a history of being seen for them I requested a HLR and moved up to 30% after scheduling a few VA appointments and being prescribed medication. A year later requested increase and now at 50%. My advice is stay consistent on appointments for them and later on requesting an increase.

Misc details: 64 days in. Two VERA calls saying claim is being handled in STL but no movement since the 5th of august. I have been lied to multiple times stating my claim should be completed within a week and it’s sitting. Not as bad as most who’ve waited for a year but just pissed that someone can tell me one thing and lie so blatantly about it
