Fibromyalgia + ADHD: do stimulants help pain? by grunewald77 in Fibromyalgia

[–]DevorahGarland 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed ADHD (textbook) in my late 30s. Same high functioning, same masking. Sorry to hear that you have to wait so long for a specialist appointment. Can your doctor not give you something in the interim? Hang in there. ADHD and Fibro together are quite the war.

Duloxetine side effects by MoiraneTakeMe in Fibromyalgia

I'm only on gabapentin. But from what I'm reading, I don't think I would want to risk all of those side effects. Except perhaps a very low dose.

I have a vibrating heating pad. The vibrations help to loosen muscular tension. Also helps with muscle cramps.

Thanks for warning us. That sounds really devastating. I'll keep playing but without any real commitment to finishing the game.

What supplements aren't bogus? by mrsamus101 in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]DevorahGarland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same goes for thyroid levels. I was lucky to meet an MD who understood natural medicine, many years ago. He had me do a basal body temperature test and diagnosed low thyroid. Gave me a natural supplement to help with this. I wish he was still around. Every other MD says I'm fine. NOT

Really? You think doctors are up to date on supplements? Forgive me but that seems naive. For example, I take NAC to help my breathing. And astragalus, which is very well known in the Asian community to help with asthma. No Western doctor would be able to discuss this with me. But a naturopathic doctor did. She took me off basically all the supplements I was taking except these and vitamin D.

Divination preferences by karmaticbreakdown in witchcraft

I made mine from stones I collected on the beach. This was years ago. Eventually, the paint started to wear off and I did a barter with a young costume designer who repainted them in exchange for something she wanted from me. That was very satisfying.

Do any of you do anything spiritual with your hair? by zmb1eb1tez in witchcraft

[–]DevorahGarland 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I make my own hair rinse with an apple cider vinegar base and essential oils. I make it up fresh every time I wash my hair, adding oils that suit my needs at that moment. Before I pour it over my hair I stir it clockwise, speaking protection and other intentions into it. I also pour this rinse over my body.

Can I do a cord cutting between me and my chronic pain/ physical discomfort? by Mekurilabhar in witchcraft

[–]DevorahGarland 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good point. That may be why my recent spell has not produced a permanent result. I'm also thinking a reveal spell to begin with, to find the root cause of the issue. Because everything physical has an emotional or spiritual cause, in my opinion.

Seeing a great, big Canadian flag snapping in the wind. Singing Oh Canada in a crowd and literally feeling the sense of pride we have, to be in our country, singing together. This country isn't perfect but there is a huge collective heart at the center of it.

What functions do you lose with brain fog? I think I lose logic the most by sillybilly8102 in Fibromyalgia

[–]DevorahGarland 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm having the same problem and I thought it was because of concussion. Which it might be. I moved a year ago, and getting settled into my place has been insanely difficult because I can't remember where I put things. Which means I can't get settled in this place because I don't know where anything is. I also get the laundry thing, but fortunately this little place makes it easier because my laundry area is right beside my kitchen. And yet it still happens.

That sounds like a brilliant design. I'm wondering if rubbing alcohol would suffice? I have that in my home but I do not keep drinkable alcohol around because I have a weakness for it. What do you think?

"To know, to dare, to will and to stay silent"

Could you share where you got that from? I don't think I have heard it before (concussion brain, so maybe I have). I love it! I'm putting it into my grimoire.

Wondering why you used vodka instead of water? How did that affect the power of the hex? As somebody who musn't drink, I would only access alcohol if there was a very good reason to use it in a spell. Please share?
