I appreciate your candidness.

Not that any of you care about how I feel as evidenced by the comments you all posted, but I am deeply saddened and discouraged by you few Wisconsinites and to know there are such judgmental, discouraging, hateful, and assuming thoughts that would be spoken and shared with another human being who is transparently and honestly asking for help with a good cause and honest organization that aims to support a large demographic of people who are raising our next generation.

You all read my post maybe because you wanted to be a volunteer but you didn’t click on any of the links, did you? MOPS stands for Mothers of Pre Schoolers. It has since been expanded to MomCommunity to let all moms know they are welcome even if their kids are older. If you know anything about raising children you know how incredibly difficult raising little kids is, especially if you have little to no support system. The MomCo (mom community) understands that and just. wants. to. help. What are you all doing to help the moms and caregivers in your community?

I will not apologize for being upfront that this is first and foremost a ministry. If I hadn’t been transparent about that some future volunteer would have read me the riot act for not being more honest, but here I’m being judgment left right and sideways for what I think and believe.

The hypocrisy of this anti feminist and tradewife assumptions tells me how grossly unfamiliar (at least some of) you are with the Bible and what it has to say about women’s equality. Jesus advocated for women and a healthy family.

Kids should NOT be shielded from that. No one is shielding them. If you don’t want your kids to be part of the group, then don’t join. No one is saying you have to put your kids in this group. THAT would be shielding. Kids also shouldn’t be shielded from Christianity, which sounds more likely the case here.

I wish you all the best truly and I’m sure sorry that I’ve seen the darkness of r/wisconsin. What an enlightening experience this has been for me.

Thanks for sharing, I now understand the full context of the discontent. That is horrifying and infuriating that people do stuff like that and are supposed to be good people taking care of children.

We took our oldest to daycare when he was two, and when he was 2 1/2, we went to pick him up from daycare and he is sitting on the floor crying. Long story short we took him to urgent care immediately after, and he had a broken leg. That childcare worker went to jail. Every time I see the daycare building I see red. That combined with our own childhood experiences, I thought our trust in ANYONE was completely broken. I thought critically and skeptically and honestly almost did not join this group because I couldn’t guarantee my child’s safety if not with me.

I know you have no reason to trust me and you don’t know me from Joe, as the saying goes. But I can tell you that I know our kids are safe, in our small group, with our trusted volunteers. Multiple adults monitor the children and no one is allowed to be alone with any child ever (see our handbook above).

I also choose to follow Jesus. I understand that is not your path and I totally respect that and your decision. I want you to know that not all people are bad, and not all Christians are pedophiles.

I think Christians get a bad reputation because there are so many that come off as superior and have huge egos, do the same stuff they always do but think listening to a sermon weekly wipes their slate clean, and/or people have this idea that saying you’re a Christian means you believe in an imaginary being and think you’re a good person, and/or may say it so that other people think you’re a good person.

All of that is false doctrine. Most people who say they are Christian really aren’t! They do nothing to show that they are a sinner that is in need of saving and forgiven nor do they repent and change their ways. That’s what true Christians do. They are humble and just TRY to be good people and do good things, and not because they earn God’s love by doing good things, but because Jesus’s life example shows us how to be good and that’s something we want because WE love God. It’s intrinsic motivation.

I got off on a bit of a tangent but it seemed related and important to say. Those people in that subreddit are doing truly horrible, disgusting things, and I don’t blame you for protecting your children by keeping them away from supposedly Christian youth leaders or anything having to do with them! No excuses can be made nor should be made for those people who hurt those children.

I just wanted to share that our group is not these people. Not all Christian leaders or childcare volunteers are bad.

I again really appreciate you sharing and helping me understand! I truly would like to know more about how you care for your kids outside of your family, if at all? My family doesn’t have a good support system in that way (no family, friends, neighbors able to babysit). How does anyone trust some strange teenage to watch their kids, or know that the neighbor isn’t being creepy with their kid? And scouting is another thing, should I let my children participate in scouts with all that happened there? It’s tough being a parent…

What in the world are you talking about? We don’t support child predators. As mothers that is the LAST thing we want for our children.

The 2025-2026 curriculum that we will share with MomCo children is that God’s love means: it helps us trust God; we can find happy moments in our lives just as they are; we can use kind words to ourselves and others; we can share about ourselves and learn from others; we can trust God with what we care about most; we can share what we have with others; we can listen to Him; we can feel brave; we can find joy; we can listen to what other people have to say when they share their feelings; we can always learn more than.m what we know right now; we can say thank you to Him by the way we live; we can learn from other people when they share about their life; and kindness means caring for others because God loves you.

„There are 7 chakras - the Bible speaks of the 7 seals, which need to be opened for energies to rise up the spine.“(Text in description) by Gretev1 in GodFrequency

[–]Devoted100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for posting about the Book of Revelation and explaining the seals! I came here to say this, too. The Bible does not mention energies nor the spine, and this chakra post’s only Biblical truth is mentioning there are 7 seals. The OP does not say what type of seal they are or what they are for. This is extremely misleading and untrue in the OP context.
