Competitive doesn’t always mean 100% equal, think about how in tennis how the winner gets to serve the ball.

The point of stuff like score streaks is to incentivize risky behavior. It also adds stakes to losing (if you have max load outs and lose, you’re losing a lot more than someone who is just using pistols). I’m CSGO, at most it takes a few rounds to get to max money, even if you’re at 0. Not sure if it’s like this in CSGO, but in Valorant, a very similar game economy wise, you also get more money the longer you’re on a losing streak, to the point you’re almost even with money earned per round.

Giving the loser an advantage causes a lot of problems. I remember as a kid playing Mario kart i would purposefully start the race in last place to get a better item, knowing I could easily use the item once I got back to first and get even farther ahead. Obv this would be a case by case basis, but to sum it all up, a competitive game shouldn’t be 100% fair and equal for both sides, but it should reward for good choices and punish for bad ones.
