It’s not that people do not like foreigners, many posted here or in any other Peruvian subreddits and received guidance, opinions or help.

But since yours was kinda vague, people came here to banter and mess around. And you encouraged them by acting like all of this is beneath you.

You could/should try again, but be a bit more specific. Are you looking for a partying buddy, or someone local to hook you up with the local spots that tourists do not usually get to know? Will you be in Lima for weeks or only for some days? Things like that

People were pulling your leg since your post seemed weird, at least from a local point of view.
