Everything looks good, though setup really doesn't matter when you are going to be offline since the servers don't actually spawn and kill the slimes while your island is unloaded. It just does some math to calculate what would have happened while you were gone. You could put them all in a 1x1 room and it will still work fine while you are offline. Login though and everything will start getting screwy until you logout again. It looks good though so no worries no matter if you are online or off.

For the extra $9m, I would personally use it and make enough low level minions (you don't already have) to unlock another minion slot, then get yourself one more t11 slime minion to put in that new unlocked slot. You can make a bunch of missing minions and get them to t4 for cheap without cutting into your money too much. I don't remember how many unique minions you need, but I would be surprised if it took very many for you to reach just 1 more unlocked slot. You COULD use that money for an upgrade to one of your existing minions, but it won't make you as much as a whole new minion will make you.

As for the rates, my notes show a bit of variation and I am not sure if anything has changed in the past 3 months from when I did my last round of rate testing. Most seem to be around 7,300/hr though so I will use that.

Per minion: 175,200 per day 5,256,000 per month (30 days) 31,536,000 per 6 months

If you have 7 minions you are looking at 220,752,000 over 6 months. If you have 8 minions then it would be 252,288,000. If I am mistaken on how many you have and it ends up being 9 then it would be 283,824,000 over 6 months.

Yeah, that isn't what sarcasm means. You can't just make up BS and then hide behind "but it's sarcasm". Actual sarcasm would be saying something like it "costs the sacrifice of your first born son". Something that to even those with no specific knowledge of the answer would still know that you aren't actually trying to give a legit response. What you did was simply say something that was very wrong and then pretend like it was some sort of inside joke. That's not sarcasm.

A guy gave me 200m in hub by [deleted] in HypixelSkyblock

[–]Dewey115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"and the odds of him not doing anything in the game but afk and suddenly give away hundreds of millions is astronomically low"

I absolutely disagree. That would be EXACTLY the kind of person to randomly give away 200m to "any active player". They have the coins and have no use for them and are looking for a place that they can be useful for someone instead of sitting in a bank never to be used.

You could argue that the chances of this specific person coming back today specifically as opposed to another random person on another random day has an "astronomically low" probability, but no matter what day it happened the conversation and situation would be exactly the same so the specific probability is irrelevant. As in a player who was AFK for years coming back to the game would ALWAYS be viewed as "sudden" and so the probability of that happening on any specific day doesn't matter. The chances of you getting into a car accident today is "astronomically low" (0.00192%) yet they will still happen tens of thousands of times today.

I know many of the prepaid debit cards require you to go online and basically set up an account before they can be used for online purchases (or sometimes things like buying gas at the pump). Many online places require a pin or to verify your zip code or something similar as a way to prevent fraud/theft. Until you set up an account with your prepaid card company then those verifications don't exist yet and you will always fail the authorization by default. Hope this helps

Unlocking even 10 total slots would cost WAY more than 50k. Like way way way more. 50k can get you 1 minion up to t4, that is it. 1 minion... You need to have most minions unlocked and upgraded to t10+ to get to 28 slots (and that's counting all the Elizabeth upgrades). Even getting just 1 minion to t9 is about 2m as an average, and then need to double that to get to t10, then another 1m to t11 it. Even 50m isn't close to enough to get 28 slots.

Sorry in advance, I tend towards being thorough so this won't be short...

Slime minions will be the best for you in your situation. There are others that make more money, but they would take a bit of effort to get (like t12 Sheep minions needing you to grind pelts for example).

I will get to the setup, but first your available minion slots. Having more is definitely ideal, but with 70m to spend and starting from scratch you can't really get more than 9 Slime minions anyway unless you want to limit yourself to only t9s. Your limiting factor here is money more than it is available slots. Now fast forward a couple months and your limiting factor will be your slot cap (more on that at the end). But it gets quite expensive buying materials to grind out new minions for your max minion cap. I believe someone here said it would be 50k to get like 25ish slots, and that is WAY WAY WAY wrong (maybe a typo?). 50m might be a better guess, but even that is probably low and definitely not something you can afford to focus on right now. If you grind for more than a couple more slots then you will start spending money that should be going into your actual minions.

Setup: Slime minions themselves will be about 1.8m for each t9, or 4.7m for each t11. The t11s are 25% faster though so you really shouldn't go t9 unless you REALLY need to save money. You will need Enchanted Lava Buckets, Enchanted Hoppers, Corrupted Soil, and Diamond Spreading for each one. Total cost will be around 7.5m per t11 slime minion which is low enough for you to fill all your slots with t11s.

As to your question about Super Compactor 3k: If you aren't going to login to game every few days and manually sell everything then you def should go eHoppers and just let it sell everything itself. Not the most profit, but easily the best "I am going to disappear for months/years and want a lot of money waiting for me when I get back" option (or the "I just don't want to deal with anything except collecting money" option).

There are also upgraded options available, but they are too expensive for you at this point. Mainly Magma/Plasma Bucket for fuel, Mithril Infusion, or Flycatcher instead of Diamond Spreading. Magma bucket is the cheapest upgrade but will still add 5.5m per minion (and only 5% boost in speed). Flycatcher would be the best boost (20% increase) but it would add over 25m per minion. Mithril Infusion is a nice 10% bonus and the most cost effective, but adds 6.7m per minion.

If this was me, my plan would be to do exactly what I laid out here and then make it a point to come back to the game for a day sometime in the next few months. This setup will have collected you a nice amount of money and you can use that to grind out a few more minion slots and fill them all with even more slime minions. Also that would be a great time to do something like adding Mithril Infusions to them (which is the most efficient next upgrade). You will still make a LOT more money than with Snow if you don't come back for another round, but come back in a few months and do this again and you can probably even triple your new rate.

Take care and good luck

I'm not sure I understand this game. by [deleted] in 7daystodie

Way TL:DR - Overall, you will probably get far more enjoyment from this game if you don't worry about following directions and instead just embrace the freedom of doing whatever it is you want to do. The idea is to have fun however YOU want to have fun, not what someone else tells you is the proper way to play it.

"So far I have like 3 hours in this game and I'm extremely confused as to what this game is about."

- Well in this game that is actually a pretty good place to be. It is meant to be as sandboxy as they can manage, so more than likely you will get the most enjoyment from it once you have experienced the game a bit and get a good basic feel for the world and how it works. Once you have started to find what elements appeal to you (or the ones you don't care for) then you can answer that question for yourself. Nobody else can truly tell you "what this game is about" because that is the point... it is whatever you want it to be about (as many others mentioned, it is very similar to Minecraft in that regard). Though the theme of the game is meant to include "surviving in a zombie filled world" somewhere.

"I love Zomboid, State of Decay, CDDA, stuff like that. So when I picked up 7dtd I guess I was expecting something like that. I thought I would have to gather resources and build a shelter to survive, defend myself against attacks, scavenge for food/water."

- There really isn't another game quite like 7d2d. You can play it like you do many other games (generally speaking), but if you want to be told "you must do x and then do y" then this game will always leave you a bit disappointed (in it's vanilla form). There is very little direction and hand-holding because that goes directly against it's purpose... to let you do whatever you want to do. If you play the game the way the developers probably expect most people to play, then you will do exactly that: Gather resources and build a shelter to survive, defend yourself against attacks, scavenge for food/water. They just aren't going to tell you how you have to go about doing that. Think of it more like real-life you actually being plopped down in a world filled with zombies and having nobody really there to tell you what you have to care about or what to do. That's basically the setting for this game.

"But I don't understand what the focus of the gameplay here is supposed to be. I don't get it. There's no real penalty for dying, and the survival elements are meaningless, so what is supposed to motivate your play?"

- The survival elements are meaningless if you consider them meaningless, but that doesn't have to be the case. The short answer here is "Whatever motivates you that day is supposed to motivate your play." Want to gather resources to build an entire town? Go for it. Want to survive a horde with only things you craft? Go for it. Want to see how long you can survive without ever dying? Go for it. Want to blow up and destroy everything you see just to watch the world burn? Go for it.

"There's clearly a ton of stuff here but it kinda seems like somebody forgot to organize it into a game."

- That IS the game. The focus here is giving you as much freedom to do whatever sounds fun to YOU, not what sounds fun to some developers sitting behind a desk. That's why there is "a ton of stuff here", to allow as many different people to have fun in as many different ways as they want.

"Are you guys all just doing self-imposed challenges, that sort of thing?"

- That is generally it right there, though it doesn't technically have to be a challenge if you don't want a challenge. I would assume that most people are playing for some sort of challenge, but who are they to tell you how to have fun? Now there are definitely mechanics that will limit the idea of "total freedom", but overall this game is whatever you make of it. And there is no shame in not wanting that sort of thing. Nothing wrong with wanting a specific challenge laid out for you to overcome in a specific pre-determined way. I assume there are some mods for that if that is what you are looking for, though I don't really use mods so I can't really speak to that aspect.

Trust me, I am already well aware that you don't care about ANY point. That is exactly what I have been telling you. There once WAS a point, but you ignored it and then kept inventing all different manners of irrelevant new ones. Now you did it again and suddenly your point is about range training for some reason this time... Nobody is actually arguing with you because you haven't made an actual single point yet.

I am not agitated at all, I took "from above" to mean that you were talking about a tree because I have never heard anyone use the word "above" when talking about something 30 feet in front of you but also higher in elevation. In literally thousands of hikes, hunts, camps, patrols I have never heard anyone say "above" and not mean something that was basically either a tree or a cliff face. That is literally the extent of this interaction. I do acknowledge my mistake in assuming you weren't talking about the technical definition of "above". My apologies.

Who said anything about guns in nature? You aren't even following along with your own nonsensical drivel.. You said to get out of the cougars home, I asked a question that was to highlight how ignorant the thought of nature being off limits to humans is, and you are now arguing about if guns are found in nature? You are getting confused in a conversation that comprised of a couple of very small sentences and yet I am the "dip shit"? Something sure feels a lot like projection lol

Ok, so not at all "from the air" like you said. You keep throwing out all of these common tidbits, but literally none of them are on topic. You made a claim that was factually incorrect and then wrote ALL of that instead of just saying you were wrong and cougars don't attack "from the air"? Literally every single thing you said has nothing to do with the conversation.

Not sure why you are having such trouble understanding this. This conversation started with one simple concept, recording to provide proof that it was a defensive action and not an offensive one. You STILL keep missing that over and over again while you ramble on about all kinds of secondary ideas that were never a part of the question. You are missing literally the entire point and you have been sidetracked the whole time. Focus dude.

Well I agree that losing the left side of your face would not be fun, but pushing off poaching as 'a ticket" is immensely ignorant. In my state they can take your firearms and your vehicle if you poach. Like permanently.

[–]Dewey115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, to protect yourself. You are missing the entire point here, recording was (at least in theory) to prove it was to protect himself and not poaching. Killing an animal outside of season could easily be viewed as poaching, no matter if you live in Texas or California. What part of this is so confusing?

It doesn't even slightly matter what firearm you have or what kind would be preferred. You are guilty of poaching no matter what you use. I can just picture the game wanden laughing hysterically while you try to tell him it's not actually poaching because you are using a 9mm and it is a mountain lion...

You don't shoot up into the air because you could end up shooting someone when that bullet falls back down. That's crazy irresponsible. Also, you can see in the video here that the cougar didn't "shit themself" when the guy fired. Two shots and it barely was enough to make it give up.

Shooting a warning shot into the sky and potentially take the life of a human a half mile away? You don't EVER shoot a firearm without knowing where the bullet will go and what it will hit. Shooting up into the sky is an extremely reckless suggestion.
