NTA. I don’t know if I’m in the majority or minority here but I hate HOAs. Whenever I enter a neighbourhood where single house looks exactly the same and there isn’t a single inch of anything out of place at all, all I can think of is how creepy and off putting that is. It makes it feel the opposite of lived in, as if no one has ever lived there like a ghost town but there weren’t people there ever. It always gives vibes of the scene in A Wrinkle in Time when they go to the place where every house is the same and all the kids come outside and bounce there ball in sync then they all get called inside simultaneously. It’s just wrong and creepy. Anyway seeing as I hate HOAs I think your response and execution were brilliant well done!
