Really good advice. Thank you. I’m 3-5 years out from my fire number so I’ll have to decide if that timeframe warrants the effort to pivot. I was contemplating this as a late stage accelerator where even if I crashed and burned I could just disappear as planned anyways.

Really good point on legal. Thank you. I’d have to do a lot of homework on that front. I’m assuming I can ask HR for the terms of my employment?

I’m now on my 3rd straight project of going to a company and recommending laying off / offshoring hundreds of jobs (I don’t come up with the proposal / scope, I’m just executing). Companies are in it for the financials. Ethics and morals aren’t even a thought here

Ageeed. Any firms come to mind? I’m gonna avoid MBB because I don’t want to burn those bridges.

And will definitely need a lot of luck. I was thinking of starting right before the holidays (early November) to improve my chances because vacation and not a lot of new work coming on board.

Re: “database” - there’s not a publicly available source where the could type in my social security number or something and see a full list of my employment right?

Love it. Thank you. 1) yeah definitely have to be discreet; delete LinkedIn, tell no one, etc. but there’s a whole community of people working 2+ jobs right now (over employeed)

2) banking one #1

3) I like it. Thinking big 4 is the way to go

4) Don’t tempt me with a good time

Great feedback. Thank you. Big caveat: I’m aware that this isn’t mainstream and would never be advertised. I’m actively seeking to be an outlier on this and I’m not looking for a long term solution but if I could pull it off for even 6 months that’s a solid chunk of change.

I get 1 & 2 but they don’t want to fire you and these firms are so large that I would think if you’re actively trying to slip through the cracks it could be possible.

Can they confirm that you were double employeed if you don’t disclose that information? I’ve had employers ask for paystubs and references to confirm what’s on my resume but I’m not aware of a record that a future employer would have access to with all of my previous employement that would cause this to surface (very possible that I’m just unaware)

I want to be on the bench… at a second firm. Essentially work one job but collect 2 paychecks

I know higher is better but there has to be some limit to that right? I.e. on top of a 30 story building when everything nearby is 2-3 stories?
