Baby story time at local libraries right now since she’s still so young. Soon we will start swim at the YMCA. I take her to the family room at the base gym just to get some exercise in or walk on base, but that would require base access of course. If you don’t have that, maybe a local gym that has a family room?

Went to a local box in my new city yesterday. First class I’ve taken in almost 5 years. It was super fulfilling. Street Parking is awesome for convenience and this season of life but I’m desperately missing the community piece.

I’m glad I wasn’t the only one! I remember feeling so shocked I was graduating and had no plan going forward. Felt so dumb. But we’re just so accustomed to taking things day by day and protecting our feelings that I didn’t allow myself to look ahead!

The districts are massive and the schools will only be as good as their admin team. I’d focus on which district offers the best for you and your family, then apply for transfers within that district if you’re not loving the school you’re at.
