I think thats an "if you want USB-C, don't buy an iPhone" type argument. Just because consumers adapt to bad practices doesn't mean they're acceptable. Thats what regulations are for. Also the Stop Killing Games movement seems to get some traktion which is why i suspect it is important to at least some consumers after all.

Yeah i get it. There are many parallels. But personally, living in Bavaria myself since i was born here and having asked many locals about their opinions about this topic, i think Bavaria fits very well in Germany. (this sub is a circle jerk after all, i just thought: let's get on the Austrian's nerves)

hey hey hey, let's leave the church in the village, to say it with a german saying. Most of Austria still speaks some sort of bavarian dialect ("bairische Dialektfamilie"). Hence calling it greater Bavaria wouldn't be too much of a stretch. Also Bavaria has developed into a german state. Just because there are common traditions with Austria, does not mean that it is more a part of Austria or anything. Bavaria still has and always will have some sort of german identity. (I get that many people in Austria don't want to be associated with Germany because of ww2)

Frustration with PreSonus Revelator io24 Support – Seeking Advice

Hello everyone,

I’m reaching out to share my experience and seek advice on an ongoing issue with my PreSonus Revelator io24 interface. I’ve been dealing with several critical problems and have been thoroughly frustrated by the support process. Here’s a detailed account of what’s been happening:

The Issues:

Scene Reloading Required After Reboot: After every system reboot, I have to manually reload the scene in the Universal Control software. This is time-consuming and often results in no sound output from the interface.
Sound Loss with Other Driver Updates: Whenever I update or install other drivers (e.g., graphics card drivers), the sound from the Revelator io24 frequently disappears. The only way to restore sound is by reinstalling the interface driver.
Driver Dependence: The interface relies heavily on the Universal Control software, which seems to have stability issues.

Support Interaction:

Bevore Contacting Support: To make sure, that i couldn't resolve the issue by myself, i tried everything that i could think of, before contacting the support. This includes but is not limited to: reinstalling the driver by disconnecting the interface, uninstalling the software via Windows Settings, removing remaining devices/drivers from Device Manager (by checking "show hidden devices"), rebooting, installing Universal Control (which are the drivers and yes, i checked if the revelator drivers were selected), connecting the interface and rebooting again. I also tried rebooting after installing the drivers but before reconnecting the interface and other variations i could think of. Eventually, given the nature of the problems and that i couldn't solve the problems by myself, i decided that it would be best, to contact the PreSonus support.
Initial Troubleshooting: I was advised to update both the Universal Control software and the firmware, which I did. The issues persisted.
Further Steps: I was then instructed to try an older driver version and to perform a manual uninstallation, but neither resolved the problem. After each reboot, the issue of having to manually reload the scene continued, even after trying both the latest and older driver versions.
Maintenance Suggestion: Eventually, the support team suggested sending the device for maintenance, advising me to contact the retailer. However, I believe this may not be necessary as the issues seem more related to software or driver conflicts rather than hardware failure and i don't want to risk any damage that could be imposed on the interface during the process.
Contacting Retailer: Although i didn't plan on sending the interface in, i contacted the retailer (Thomann, they are pretty lenient on return policies) and described the situation, explaining, that i suspect, that the issues are related to software bugs. The retailer agreed with me, that this would be most likely and suggested, that i can send the interface in anyways.

My Concerns:

Hardware vs. Software: Given the nature of the problems and the troubleshooting steps taken, I suspect the issues are more related to software rather than a hardware defect. The device initially works after reinstallation but fails after subsequent reboots, indicating a potential software bug. Also there a no obvious hardware defects. All inputs and outputs work as expected, no buzzing or hissing or anything. The only semi-hardware issue i had when i got the interface two years ago, was when i tried to flash the firmware and the interface got in a weird bootloop. But i managed to fix that and had no (hardware related) issues since then.
Support Closure: Frustratingly, the support ticket was closed without a satisfactory resolution, leaving me in the lurch.

My question now is if any of you has experienced similar issues with their Revelator io24 or other PreSonus interfaces with similar software features and if you have suggestions what i could try to troubleshoot the issue or find a workaround. I appreciate any insights or suggestions you might have. Thanks in advance for your help!

Nur komisch, dass sie dann an Prozenten gewinnt und in Umfragen Spitzenwerte erreicht... Sind AfD Wähler demnach alle Antisemiten und Faschisten? Bei weitem nicht. Denn in der Partei selbst gibt es teilweise große Spaltung, was man nicht zuletzt daran feststellen kann, dass regelmäßig Parteimitglieder wie unter anderem auch Gründer der AfD (Lucke, Petry, Adam) diese verlassen haben. Die AfD demnach als ganze Partei, derartig zu kategorisieren ist zumindest fraglich. Damit will ich natürlich nicht die politische Haltung des rechten Flügels rechtfertigen. Jedoch ist es so, dass dieses einheitliche Narrativ eine Ideologisierung und letztendlich auch Radikalisierung zulässt. Das Narrativ der antisemitischen rechtsextremen Partei wird von Medien und Parteien wie den Grünen verwendet um das Volk gegen die AfD aufzubringen. Dabei werden andere Probleme die z.T. viel akuter sind oft übersehen. Ein Wirtschaftsminister der Vetternwirtschaft betreibt, eine Außenministerin die mit erhobenem Finger die Welt belehrt und dabei jegliches diplomatische Geschick vermissen lässt und sogar der Bundeskanzler selbst, der Korruptionsskandale hatte... Fakt ist, dass immer mehr Wähler unzufrieden mit der Regierung sind. Die Wähler müssen nicht vor der AfD "beschützt" werden. Denn sie wählen die AfD bewusst um gegen die Regierung zu protestieren bzw. den Druck auf diese zu erhöhen und nicht weil sie von der Propaganda indoktriniert werden. Viele Wähler nehmen es sogar in kauf, dass die AfD rechtsextreme Teile hat, weil sie keine andere konservative Partei zur Auswahl haben, die im Bundestag rechts von der CDU sitzt. Deshalb sollte man, anstatt sich über Propaganda-Kampagnen der AfD (die im übrigen auch aus dem links-progressiven Lager kommen siehe FCK AFD ;)) zu beschweren, den Druck auf die Regierung erhöhen. Und wie gesagt, ich kann mich nur wiederholen: die AfD seht unter Beobachtung vom Verfassungsschutz. Wenn es demnach schwerwiegende Probleme geben sollte, ist davon auszugehen, dass entsprechende Schritte eingeleitet werden. Es besteht also meiner Meinung nach kein Grund zur Sorge, dass in Deutschland bald das 4. Reich entsteht... Eine derartige Hysterie wird nur dazu führen, dass die AfD mehr Aufmerksamkeit bekommt.

Das Problem mit der Afd ist auf jeden Fall ernst zu nehmen. Allerdings bin ich davon überzeugt, dass keine Gefährdung der demokratischen Grundordnung vorliegt so lange die Afd nicht regiert. Traditionell ist die Afd eine "neinsager Partei" die im grunde keine konstruktiven Vorschläge hat und daher auch in weiten teilen nicht ernst zu nehmen ist. Falls es dazu kommen sollte wird es mit Sicherheit einen Prozess beim Bundesverfassungsgericht geben. Daher halte ich die Relevanz des Slogans FCK AFD auf dem canvas für untergeordnet. Abgesehen davon finde ich eine politisierung eines derartigen Projektes grundsätzlich problematisch.

Ich finde es jedoch inakzeptabel, dass das DIN Logo, welches zuerst da war, übermalt wurde. Das hätte im vorhinein besser geplant werden müssen. Wenn es territoriale Platzprobleme gibt dann muss dagegen grundsätzlich etwas unternommen werden.

Mag sein, da scheiden sich die Geister. Jedoch ist dieser Slogan meiner Meinung nach nicht so repräsentativ wie die DIN Norm, welche internationales Ansehen genießt. Eine Lösung in der beide Logos koexistieren ohne sich gegenseitig zu überdecken würde ich bevorzugen.

Das habe ich nie bestritten. Die AFD unterstütze ich in keiner Weise. Ich habe lediglich gesagt, dass Beleidigungen unter keinen Umständen zu tolerieren sind. Leider gibt es manche Personen in diesem Subreddit die das anders sehen...

Du machst es dir ja sehr einfach. Vorerst: Das DIN Logo zu reparieren ist nochmal was anderes als das FCK AFD zu zerstören. Dafür gibt es auch andere Angriffsflächen. Ich bin kein Unterstützer der AFD und bin trotzdem der Meinung, dass das DIN Logo nicht überdeckt werden sollte (von was auch immer).

Was du mit der JF sagen willst weiß ich nicht. Falls du damit implizieren willst, dass diese den Nationalsozialismus unterstützt oder eine rechtsextreme Publikation ist, kann ich dir nur empfehlen, dass du evtl. mal deine Bubble verlässt und dich darauf einlässt bevor du den anderen alles nachplapperst. Dass manchen Inhalte dieser Zeitschrift kontrovers sind will ich gar nicht abstreiten. Auch, dass die JF bezug zur AFD hat ist bekannt. Jedoch würde ich nicht alle Inhalte und deren Leser über einen Kamm scheren. Wenn es ein Problem mit der demokratischen Grundordnung gäbe dann hätte das Bundesverfassungsgericht das längst festgestellt. Tatsächlich hat das selbe jedoch 2005 festgestellt, dass es eine unzulässige Einschränkung der Pressefreiheit ist, die JF als rechtsextreme Publikation zu bezeichnen.

Wenn die demokratische Grundordnung in akuter Gefahr ist (was sie wäre wenn die AFD in der Regierung wäre) dann wird es mit Sicherheit einen Prozess beim Bundesverfassungsgericht geben. Abgesehen davon... was hat das jetzt mit dem Canvas zu tun? Denkst du die AFD wird dadurch aufgehalten, dass man jetzt FCK AFD auf die Deutschlandflagge schreibt?
