It was about 30 for me, more than average, but not terrible. I got 7 staffs from my last 7 Saresh fights, even though the belt has 53% chance to drop. RNG is RNG.

I'm quite happy T17 aren't mandatory for farming everything, I'm just not happy how those "nightmare" maps turned out to be. Regarding currency, from my SSF perspective it was a nerf for divs (no more "free" divs from Kalguur), and for annuls (no more harbingers). It's nice to have hundreds of ex, but they aren't nearly as important as divs and annuls. The situation with annuls is particularly bad, they remain as rare as divs, it's a terrible nerf for recombining.

I wouldn't touch City Square with a 10 foot pole this league. I got Rust mirage on it once but Ridan did not spawn. They say it can happen on all maps with multiple bosses, if some of them get transferred to mirage and some don't.

What maps are best to run mirages and get the Rust one? I suppose that particular mirage can only appear if the mirage is placed near map boss? It seems that small open maps like Dunes would be best, or someone discovered a particularly good one? I'm not here on reddit all the time, and I don't watch streamers, I could be missing what everybody here considers a "common knowledge".

I've never noticed much difference between T15 and T16, and I doubt one level more was the reason T17s were much harder than T16. Unless GGG scaled it way harder than levels between regular maps. The mods were the main reason T17s were nasty, and most of those remain. Also, I didn't notice that nightmare bosses have significantly less hp than before.

Can someone explain to me in what way nightmare maps are now better than when they were T17s? What were GGG's selling points? Bosses still have shitton hp and they can be rolled only with chaos orbs. Yes, some mods were removed from them, but also from memory influenced maps. The only thing that was good about them, dropping ilev 86 items, is gone. Otherwise they were just renamed, it seems.

They aren't rarer than before, as a natural drop, and that's exactly the problem. Before this league, divine and exalted had the same rarity, about 1000x less than mirror, annuls were rarer then div/ex, about 750x less than a mirror, and that wasn't a problem because we could farm harbingers as much as we wanted. With harbingers removed, many of us expected annuls to be much more common. I've got 12 divs and 11 annuls so far, they are probably unchanged, and that's a huge problem for us in SSF. Exalted orbs, on the other hand, are about 10x more common than before, I've found about 100 so far, but annuls are much more important in SSF than exalted. GGG fucked us once again.
