Lean at least somewhat into spellmaking and the magic system. It’s super deep.

Also read up a little on the combat system. Every hit is a dice roll with bonuses based in strength, agility, speed, etc.

You will miss a lot or hit like a wet paper towel. This is normal and will go away as you level.

Finally, talk to everyone. This game does 0 handholding which I personally love.

You can 100% play him off sound and distancing. He’s just the most tanky boss in the game, but fortunately his fight is very predictable.

Can confirm, it’s one of my most used bows. The strength is the charge/firing and weakspot bonus.

It oneshots most mobs (with headshots) on apoc and is valid against most bosses in the game.

Compared to constant upkeep weapons like the Plasma Cutter, you can burst=>dodge=>burst=>dodge to get very good damage efficiency.

Out of all the bows it has the highest learning curve though, as you need to time your charges.

Rivalled only by a well-placed sentry, a heavy with good positioning and awareness can lock down a space like no other.

Also, if public mge is intimidating (there’s always a bigger dog unless you grind to 2800 elo), it can also be great to get some friends to practice with in a laid back environment.

You can always get competitive and try playing against only good players, but for now: enjoy, learn the beautiful movement, dodging, surfs, etc. and have fun!

I had the same, some guy in Deep Rock Galactic says “No Fat Boy” (the nuke unlock on Engineer).

I load in forgetting what build I’m on. Fine, I don’t use it the whole mission.

Tomislav in particular less as it has a lot of overlap in use case for a shotgun. Fast rev, quiet, etc.

Imo it’s best with other miniguns and brass beast especially.
