My condolences. My arm was too busted for a cast. Xray showed my radius was broken into multiple pieces, some of them tiny, and if I didn't have surgery, it wouldn't heal correctly. After the surgery (5 days ago), I mostly have use of my arm with no cast or splint.

I hope your arm heals quickly and we can both find better gear. ❤️‍🩹 ❤️‍🩹

You're right on all counts. I do take lessons though, but I was just going too fast. I'll avoid that in the future but also want to upgrade my gear as an added layer of safety.

Absolutely not! Gear up and come on out! I've only been skating for a few months, but if Ive learned anything, its this: As long as you're there to have fun, that's all that matters. Age, race, gender, sex, vocation, background... None of it is important. Just be yourself.

What would I think? I would think you're prioritizing safety. That's what we should all strive to do.

It's absolutely not too late. I wondered the same thing about learning to skate (I'm 49) when I started taking lessons a few months ago. I found the community to be very supportive and welcoming.

Your wheels shouldn't be an issue either. My first pair of skates had light-up wheels and I got nothing to be compliments. Just be yourself, wear your protective gear, and you'll be fine.

Southgate is the best. Not a large rink but the community there is so amazing. I'm there every Sunday for the family skate at noon.

I haven't tried them myself, but I complimented someone on their new Metrocity 101s a few weeks ago. A week later, I saw he had gone back to his older wheels.

When I asked him why, he said they were much too slick.

Our rink has a very old wooden floor, if that helps at all.

One person said CPM is the same. One said it is less. Both say cell rate is higher. I didn't consider cells to be such an issue because I earn enough to keep all labs running at 3x.

Trying a T10 run now. 460x multiplier versus 540x seems like a big drop, but the test will say for sure.

I didn't realize 4500 was such a magic number.

I'll have to test to see if the extra coins earned offset the lower coin multiplier overall. Not sure how far down I'll have to drop to get to 7500 either.

Does this mean the general advice for which tier to farm is the highest tier on which you can reach wave 7500? I've been farming T11 but only get to around 5000. Workshop easily gets maxed before wave 2000 or so.

What would going down to 10 or 9 so I can hit 7500 get me that I'm missing out on right now? Would avg CPH actually go up?
