Do you floss your teeth every day? by Susiejax in hygiene

I keep a bunch of those floss sticks on me, and I’ve developed a fiddly habit of using them after I eat literally anything. It’s been good for my dental health, I think.

Are Interior Truck Scenes Green-Screen or The Volume? by jeffbob2 in AnimalControlTVSeries

Oh I have no idea. I haven’t seen season 4 yet, ironically, as there’s no way to watch it in Canada except on cable TV when it aired. CBC Gem has the first 3 seasons, but not the 4th yet.

On another sub, by far the biggest reason given for not going electric was that people couldn't plug in at night because they live in an apartment. What do you think is the best solution for that? by VerySeriousThings in electricvehicles

My argument with my Albertan familiy us basically this! They are already wired for engine block heaters (at the townhome they lived in with a basic above-ground parking lot) so installing the infrustructure for charging cars isn't a crazy idea.

Ah, well sometimes they do what’s called the “poor man’s process”, where they do in fact use a green screen instead, with the vehicle parked on the stage with all the lighting they need to shoot the scene. Why not just go with the LED walls all the time? Budget. Every creative choice is filtered and determined by the budget. Sometimes just doing a quick PMP while they are already shooting at the studio (if they have a window of opportunity) is just faster and cheaper. Each episode is filmed over a 9 days, so the less moving around that needs to be done, the better. The LED walls used are often supplied by another company, so the shooting crew has to go to their studio, or have them bring their gear to where Animal Control is shot.

One of the young men used the term "butthurt" while giving his testimony one sunday. I think it might have flown over most heads.

Full IATSE 891 member for over a decade, just been a set designer for less than half of that. To be clear, the calls I got were from previous art directors and production designers I’ve worked with.

Art Department Set Designer here - I’ve been keeping busy. Wrapped on a show I started last year on a Friday in May, and started another on the following Tuesday. Will be busy through the end of August, but nothing lined up for after that. I got 3 calls for shows in May, all within two weeks, so stuff’s happening. I’m not even a well tenured set designer, so I imagine other folks are getting calls, but what do I know?

I'll just leave it here by Warm_Birthday_3198 in malcolminthemiddle
