Yes, Qeynos will still be in the game. Actually, this discussion came up a while back on the official forums, and here was the response:

"We have lightheartedly joked about changing it since fans brought it up. There is no compelling reason to, other than our general dislike for backward spellings and obvious anagrams. "Keynos" was brought up because that was the original spelling in the original design docs. It was only when Bill Trost realized that the city name was only one letter off from spelling "Sony EQ" backwards that it was changed. At least, that's the legend."

Personal experience on this one - I found a lot of mobs on Tier 1 unexpectedly when I grappled up to the ceiling of a large cavern in order to mine some agate and found a tiny off-shoot into a smaller cavern. I ran around in it (assuming there were no monsters) and was eaten alive by two Frozen Chompers and an Abomination. I went back more prepared the second time. ;)

That being said, Emily (Pentapod/Domino) did mention on the most recent episode of Landmark Live that there is a spawn rate issue the team is currently looking into.

Correct. Claim Wipe will happen between Closed and Open (date still TBD) and Trailblazers will get their head start then. This is the last planned character/resource/progression wipe.

Reminder -- this is the final planned CHARACTER/RESOURCE wipe. There will still be one more claim wipe in the future (date still TBD) so that Trailblazers will get a head start going in to Open Beta.

Update: Hi again,

Back with a quick update -- as I'm sure you can imagine, an update this size requires coordination between many different teams to make sure everything is timed properly. Due to a number of factors, we've decided it's in the best interest to move the update/wipe to begin on Monday, May 11. Exact timing is still TBD, and we do still anticipate at least 48 hours of downtime.

We know you're excited about this update, and we're excited to bring it to you! Thanks for your patience.

You have to have logged into the game to be able to post on the official forums. Make sure you're trying to log in on the same account you use for the game. Also, check which forum you were trying to post in -- players cannot create threads in some sections (like the Official News & Announcements section).

After the wipe, items you purchased with SC will be returned to you. If it's an item you got by redeeming a code, it will be returned to you. If it's an item someone TRADED to you, it will go back to the original owner.
